Where Grimbrosia Source appears
The Reaper career cleanup assignment includes the task “Harvest Grimbrosia Source.” The assignment sends your Sim to a lot affected by Netherworld Fissures, where lost souls have escaped. Look for the plant on that lot rather than searching a particular neighborhood between assignments. GamesRadar+’s Reaper career guide describes the harvest as part of the cleanup sequence.

Grimbrosia Source is not a normal gardening harvestable. An answer in the EA Forums Life & Death Q&A says Reaper career players gather it during the career; the response is from a community member, not a formal EA support statement.
How to find and harvest it
- Progress in the Reaper career until a cleanup assignment directs your Sim to a lot with Netherworld Fissures and lost souls.
- Read the assignment tasks. When “Harvest Grimbrosia Source” appears, search the assignment lot outdoors.
- Check the whole lot carefully. The plant can blend into the scenery. Inspect edges and spots near objects such as benches rather than relying on a single expected location.
- Harvest the plant when you find it, then return to the career workplace and continue the active assignment tasks.
If the plant is hard to spot
Do not assume the plant is missing just because it is not immediately visible. A player discussion dated April 7, 2026 describes finding it beside a bench during a Willow Creek park assignment, after initially overlooking it. That is a useful search clue, not a guaranteed spawn point: the available evidence does not establish a fixed coordinate or that the plant always appears in the same place. - Build your Bucket List by collecting goals throughout your Sim’s life, startingas a Young Adult. Items will appear on your list based on your Sim’s traits andfamily relations, and you can also choose your own.
- Make death your life’s work with a career of reaping souls, helping Ghosts,dispersing hauntings, and more as a member of Grim’s team. Or, you couldbecome a Mortician and deal with death more from the perspective of theliving.
- The veil between life and death is thin in Ravenwood. Visit the countryside and perhaps take a swim by the mysterious face in the cliffs. Or, head into the village where you’ll find some odd goods forpurchase near the old Specter cemetery.
Some players mention placing Grimbrosia Source through live edit or debug, but that is an anecdotal workaround, not the normal career method. For the assignment, search the lot you were sent to.
What happens after harvesting
The cleanup sequence continues at the workplace: the career guide lists making Grimbrosia and delivering it to Grim after the harvest. Follow the tasks shown in your assignment, since the guide does not establish that every step is active at exactly the same time.
