You reach him through the Fault Hunting side mission, and the entrance is a cave you drop down to near the cliff and crane. The directions below come from two third-party walkthroughs, PowerPyx and Neoseeker, as they stood in October 2026.
Starting Fault Hunting
Genone is part of Fault Hunting, so you need that mission active before you can reach him. PowerPyx reports two ways to begin it:

Both starts lead into the same mission. The first objective is to investigate tremors, and Genone is not at the first tremor site. Choose whichever start you reach first; neither guide says one leads to a different boss or reward.
Reaching Genone in Lopside
Neoseeker’s route uses The Yawning Yard as the landmark and the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse as the fast-travel point. Follow these steps:
Recommended Free Tools
#1 Best Overall
- Open the fast-travel map and select the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse, which Neoseeker identifies as the nearest reported approach.
- From the chalet, head south along the western edge of Lopside toward the peninsula near The Yawning Yard.
- Stop at the western cliff edge beside the crane. Neoseeker’s entrance directions say to drop down here to reach the cave.
- Walk to the cave entrance at the lower elevation. PowerPyx reports that the facility door opens as you approach, so you do not need a separate interaction to enter.
Neither walkthrough gives map coordinates. If the crane or the peninsula does not match what you see, use The Yawning Yard as your reference point and search the western cliff edge for the lower cave opening rather than relying on the exact spot described.
The fight with Genone
After the door opens, the mission moves through the facility to the boss encounter. PowerPyx’s guide offers combat advice, though it is published guidance rather than a result the site tested:
Rank #2
- Out-of-This-World Adventure – Stranded on a lunar space station, Hugh encounters Diana, a mysterious android resembling a young girl. While searching for a way back to Earth, they fight to survive against Bots directed to “neutralize” intruders.
- Hack & Shoot – Use each character’s distinct abilities to take down enemies. In combat, Diana can hack foes to expose weaknesses so Hugh can blast them with weapons. This unique fusion of gameplay offers an action-packed experience like no other.
- Space Exploration – Teamwork also extends to traversing the station. Utilize the thrusters in Hugh’s futuristic suit to dash and hover around while Diana hacks security systems to solve puzzles. Only together can they overcome all obstacles.
- Collect and Customize – Gather materials while exploring the station to unlock upgrades, build out a diverse arsenal of weapons, obtain new outfits, and more. Once you’re ready, use the new gear in battle and take on even greater challenges!
- Shield: Shock damage is reported as effective against Genone’s shield.
- Armor: Corrosive damage is reported as effective against his armor.
- Reinforcements: Genone calls robotic enemies to help during the fight, so expect add-ons while you work through the shield and armor.
After the boss
Defeating Genone places a blue control-room keycard behind the machine he emerged from, according to PowerPyx. Pick it up before you leave the facility, since the guide does not describe a second visit to collect it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What these directions do and do not establish
- The location and mission details come from two third-party walkthroughs. No official quest source was available to confirm the route in the current build.
- The landmarks (Lopside, The Yawning Yard, the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse, and the crane) are the only navigation references the guides give. Exact map coordinates are not stated.
- The combat advice reflects what PowerPyx reports. Check the boss’s shield and armor responses yourself if your damage types differ from the ones described.
- Route details can change with patches. If a landmark has moved, the Fault Hunting objectives and the tremor-investigation markers are the next thing to check.
Within those limits, the path is consistent across both guides: Fault Hunting, then Lopside, then a cave entered from the cliff by the crane.
