EA has not released EA SPORTS College Football 25 as a native PC game. EA’s listed platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The only official route to the game on a Windows PC that we could confirm is cloud streaming through the Xbox app with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Why there is no PC version
EA’s launch announcement, “Welcome to College Football 25,” published May 16, 2024, names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the game’s platforms. EA community manager EA_Barry later answered a question about a PC release on EA’s forums. The response reads: “EA SPORTS College Football is available on the following platforms: Xbox Series X|S PlayStation® 5.” It adds: “This applies to the Standard, Deluxe, and MVP Bundle editions.” The forum post is undated in the sources we reviewed.
In practical terms, do not expect a PC installer, Windows system requirements, or local PC performance settings. Those would only exist if EA announced a PC edition, and it has not.
Playing on PC through Xbox Cloud Gaming
Xbox Wire’s March 27, 2025 post on EA Play said that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members receive EA Play, and that members can “play games like College Football 25 on the Xbox App on PC via Cloud Gaming with Game Pass Ultimate.” The Xbox store listing for the game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S, shows Xbox Cloud Gaming as a playable option, and says cloud play is included with Game Pass Ultimate.

The cloud route works like this:
- Check the store listing. Open the EA SPORTS College Football 25 page on the Xbox store and confirm that Xbox Cloud Gaming still appears among the play options and that it is included with Game Pass Ultimate.
- Get Game Pass Ultimate. Subscribe with the Microsoft account you plan to use on your PC.
- Install the Xbox app on Windows. Sign in with the same account.
- Launch the game through cloud play. Find College Football 25 in the Xbox app and start it as a cloud-streamed title rather than a local install.
Cloud streaming runs the console version on Microsoft’s servers and sends video to your PC, so the quality of your session depends on your internet connection. Cloud access is a streaming service, not a copy of the game you own on your PC, and it can end if the title leaves the catalog or your subscription lapses.
What the sources do not establish
- A native Windows installation, or any PC system requirements for the game.
- That EA Play alone or PC Game Pass alone gives access to cloud play for this title. The Xbox Wire post ties the PC cloud route to Game Pass Ultimate.
- Current catalog status and regional availability. The most recent dated official source we reviewed is the March 27, 2025 Xbox Wire post, and catalogs and bundles change. Confirm both on the live Xbox store page before subscribing.
Compare the official options

Avoid unofficial workarounds
Emulators, unofficial downloads, and third-party remote-play tools are not official PC releases. None of the official sources support them, and they carry security and licensing risks. If you want to play on your PC, the Xbox Cloud Gaming route is the official option.
