What is the official order of Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters?
Capcom director Morimasa Sato lists the daughters as Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. In a May 6, 2021 PlayStation.Blog interview, Sato explained that the team settled on three after simulating how many times and how often Ethan would encounter them, saying the number worked best for game balance.

The interview gives their names in that sequence, but does not identify Bela as the oldest, Daniela as the youngest, or otherwise establish their birth order. Treat Bela–Cassandra–Daniela as the developer interview’s listed order, not a family chronology.
In what order does Ethan encounter them?
For gameplay progression, a GameSpot walkthrough published May 14, 2021 describes Daniela in an early basement passage, Cassandra in the Library, and Bela later near the Armory. That makes the walkthrough’s encounter sequence Daniela, Cassandra, Bela.

This is a walkthrough-based sequence, not a ranking of the sisters or an official name order. A separate GameSpot boss guide has conflicting labels and locations, so it should not be used on its own to establish a precise order.
Why are there three daughters?
Sato said the developers chose three after considering the number and frequency of Ethan’s encounters, because that arrangement best served the game’s balance. He also described the daughters as beings formed from merged insects: ordinary attacks do not affect them in that form, so the player has to work out how to defeat them.

In the interview, Sato says the daughters adore their mother, Alcina, and compete over which one is worthy of her love. These details explain their relationship and unusual nature, but do not establish a sibling age hierarchy.
