Yooka-Replaylee has a physical edition for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S. Playtonic announced on 18 December 2025 that these discs and boxed copies had shipped to retail, with one important limit: the Xbox Series X|S physical edition is North America exclusive. The publisher also lists a keepsake map and stickers as physical extras. Because that announcement is dated more than ten months ago, treat it as the confirmed launch record, and check a retailer listing for current stock and price before you buy.
Which platforms have a physical edition

Why the Xbox edition is region-locked
The publisher’s announcement carries an asterisk after the Xbox reference, and the qualifier explains it: the physical Xbox Series X|S edition is exclusive to North America. Readers outside that region should not assume a physical Xbox copy is available to them through Playtonic’s announcement alone. If you are in Europe, Australia, or elsewhere, the Xbox digital release from 9 October 2025 is the platform path the publisher’s announcement covers.
Release dates: digital first, physical later
The game came out digitally before any physical copy. Playtonic announced the digital release for 9 October 2025 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and said physical retail for the console platforms would follow. The physical editions then arrived on 18 December 2025, about ten weeks later.

What the physical edition includes
Playtonic lists two physical extras: a keepsake map and stickers. The publisher’s materials do not describe any other packaging, bonus content, or collector items for the physical release, so do not expect more than those two items unless a specific retailer lists an exclusive bundle.

Where to buy the physical edition
Playtonic’s announcement points readers to Amazon in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France, and to local retailers. The publisher does not state current stock, pricing, or shipping terms, and those change over time. Use this checklist before you order:
- Choose the platform first. The PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S copies are separate products.
- For Xbox, confirm the listing ships to a North American address. A listing that accepts orders from elsewhere does not change the publisher’s stated exclusivity.
- Check that the listing names a physical edition, not the digital download, so you do not buy a code by mistake.
- Compare the included items against the keepsake map and stickers described by Playtonic. A listing that omits them may be a different SKU or a region variant.
- Check the stock and price on the day you buy. Neither was established by the publisher’s sources for the purposes of this article.
Digital owner discount does not cover the physical edition
Playtonic’s FAQ describes a discount for owners of the original game, but it applies to digital purchases within the same platform family. The publisher’s description does not extend that discount to the physical edition, so do not expect it at a retail checkout.

What is and is not established
The 18 December 2025 announcement is the publisher’s confirmation that physical editions were released on the three named platforms, with the Xbox qualifier. It does not establish that every retailer still carries stock, that prices are unchanged since launch, or that any particular regional shop will ship a copy to you. No independent retail check was used for this article. Anyone buying in late 2026 should treat the platform list and the keepsake items as the publisher’s launch facts, and treat stock and price as things to confirm on the listing.
