To finish “Beware the Gypceros,” hunt a Gypceros in the Windward Plains during Fallow, then return to Zatoh in Kunafa, Windsong Village, and speak with him. If you have completed the hunt but cannot find him, set the Windward Plains to Plenty and Daylight and check near the Seikret stable.
How to unlock “Beware the Gypceros”
The side mission becomes available after reaching Chapter 4 and completing the main mission “New Ecosystems.” Accept it from Zatoh in Kunafa, Windsong Village, in the Windward Plains. The quest listing and guides identify Zatoh as the quest giver; see Game8’s side mission listing and AELGames’ walkthrough.
How to hunt the quest Gypceros
- Go to the Windward Plains. The objective is to hunt the Gypceros in this region. A hunt elsewhere may not satisfy the side mission.
- Check the environment for Fallow. The quest specifies that the target is active during Fallow. Check the Windward Plains map and look for Gypceros. The quest details are listed by Kiranico.
- If needed, change the environment. At camp, open the tent menu, choose BBQ Menu, then Rest, and select Fallow. Resting lets you change the environment and time; the cost is not stated consistently in available guide information, so check the in-game prompt rather than relying on a fixed figure.
- Hunt Gypceros. Once the target is active, complete the hunt in the Windward Plains. Then proceed to the report objective.
Where to report to Zatoh
Return to Kunafa, Windsong Village, in the Windward Plains and speak with Zatoh to report the completed hunt. If you do not see him, try setting the environment to Plenty and the time to Daylight; a guide places him near the Seikret stable under those conditions. If he appears to be inside a building, wait nearby for him to come out. The location and suggestion are also covered in AELGames’ walkthrough.
