Is Yars Rising connected to Yars’ Revenge?

Yes, in the sense that matters for buyers. Nintendo says the hacking minigames pay homage to Yars’ Revenge, and that a modernized version of the original game can be played from the game’s main menu. That means you can reach the classic-inspired play directly, separate from the story campaign.
