In late June and early July 2025, reports said the Nintendo Switch 2 was unavailable on Amazon US. Bloomberg attributed Nintendo’s absence from the store to a dispute involving third-party sellers and imported games—but Nintendo and Amazon disputed that account. Those reports do not establish whether Amazon US has a listing now.
What was reported about Amazon US?
Bloomberg reported on June 30, 2025, that Nintendo had stopped selling products on Amazon’s US site after a disagreement over unauthorized sales. Citing a person familiar with the situation, Bloomberg said third-party merchants bought Nintendo products in bulk in Southeast Asia and exported them to the US, where games were allegedly listed below Nintendo’s advertised prices. Engadget also reported on June 30 that the Switch 2 was unavailable from Amazon at the time. Its account included Bloomberg’s report that Amazon had offered to label products as authentic; that detail, too, was part of the reported account, not a company-confirmed explanation. Nintendo and Amazon disputed Bloomberg’s explanation
TechRadar reported on July 1, 2025, that Nintendo denied Bloomberg’s account. A Nintendo spokesperson said, “There is no such fact.” Amazon responded: “The claims made by Bloomberg regarding our relationship with Nintendo are inaccurate.” These statements make the alleged seller dispute a contested explanation, not an established cause. Is the Switch 2 available on Amazon US now?
The cited availability reports describe conditions in late June and early July 2025. They do not verify Amazon US’s current listing, stock, price, or seller as of October 8, 2026. Check the live Amazon product page before buying, and look at the offer details rather than assuming a listing is sold or shipped by Amazon or Nintendo.
- Seller: Confirm the name shown beside “Sold by.” A marketplace listing may come from a third-party seller.
- Fulfillment: Check who ships the item; fulfillment by Amazon does not by itself mean Amazon is the seller.
- Price and terms: Compare the current price, shipping, and return terms with other retailers. Nintendo’s launch price is historical context, not a current price guarantee.
- Bundle details: If a bundle is offered, confirm what is included and whether its game is physical or digital.
If Amazon has no suitable offer, compare current availability and seller identity at Nintendo’s store and established retailers. Their current stock and prices are not established here.
