Is spoofing Pokémon GO on iOS allowed?
No. The Scopely Explore Terms of Service prohibit techniques that alter or falsify a device’s location, and they list GPS spoofing by name. The Player Guidelines separately list tools or techniques used to falsify location among cheating behaviors. Because the rule appears in both documents, it applies regardless of whether a player is using an iPhone, an iPad, or another device.

The same terms also cover related conduct. They prohibit cheating in general, including accessing the service through modified or unofficial third-party software. Players who are unsure whether a tool or habit falls under these terms should assume it does and check the current wording before continuing.

- Accessing the game through modified or unofficial third-party software.
- Using tools or techniques intended to falsify location, which the Player Guidelines list as cheating.
The terms also say the app may not work on devices detected or reasonably suspected of cheating. Scopely Explore reserves lawful mechanisms to detect and respond to cheating, including checks for exploits or unauthorized software. Players should not assume that any particular detection method will be absent on any particular device.
Can you get banned for spoofing on iPhone?
You can face account action. The official documents describe a range of responses rather than one fixed outcome:
- Warning. The Player Guidelines list a warning as a possible response.
- Degraded gameplay. The guidelines list reduced gameplay as a possible outcome.
- Suspension. Accounts may be suspended.
- Permanent termination. The guidelines state that these actions may be taken sometimes without warning.
The Pokémon GO Gameplay Fairness Policy describes a three-strike approach in which actions can become more severe over time, and it says continued cheating may lead to removal from the game. These are descriptions of what the policies allow. They do not establish a predictable sequence that every player will experience, and they do not tell you how a specific account will be treated. The rules are the same whether a player is new or experienced, and the terms say the operator will not provide support to players who attempt to cheat.

Is there a safe Pokémon GO spoofer for iOS?
No official source establishes that any iOS spoofing tool is safe, undetectable, or ban-proof. The official documents state the rule and the enforcement possibilities. They do not approve an iOS method, publish a detection checklist, rank methods by risk, or promise that running the official app alongside a location-altering tool avoids enforcement. Claims of that kind come from third parties and are not verified by Scopely Explore or Pokémon GO’s official policies.

The first two checks describe what a tool does. A tool that fails either check is prohibited under the terms. A tool that passes neither check is still not approved, because the official rules prohibit location falsification outright.

Real-world safety comes first
Pokémon GO is designed for outdoor play on mobile devices. Scopely Explore’s Player Guidelines ask players to stay aware of pedestrians, traffic, and obstacles, to avoid dangerous or unauthorized areas, and not to use the game while driving. Players who are focused on a screen while moving are at risk of injury, and these guidelines apply to every player.
Staying within the rules
The game’s official rules are the only reliable guide to what is allowed. Play the game as it is intended, read the current Terms of Service and Player Guidelines before making decisions about your account, and avoid any tool or service that promises to change where your device appears to be. If you believe an account action was made in error, use the official support channels referenced in the game’s help materials. The terms state that support is not provided to players who attempt cheating, so the safest course is to keep your play within the rules from the start.
