The Crimson Dye Merchant in Ghost of Yotei is on the coast at Stone Jaw Coast in Ishikari Plain. The merchant does not appear on arrival. You summon them by lighting the nearby campfire, and published guides say they stay available at that spot once they have been called.
How to summon the merchant
- Travel to Stone Jaw Coast in Ishikari Plain. Guide publishers place the merchant on the coast there.
- Find the campfire near the merchant’s spot and light it.
- Wait for the merchant to appear, then speak with them to browse their wares.
The guides agree on the area and the trigger, but none gives a turn-by-turn route. Use the in-game map to head to Stone Jaw Coast, then look for the campfire on the coast.

What the merchant sells
Guide sources describe the following categories of goods:
- Crimson armor dyes
- Weapon kits or fittings, which are weapon cosmetics
- Headgear
A Japanese-language guide also lists tools and materials. These are category descriptions, not a verified complete inventory. The guides do not say which individual items appear at a given point in the game, or whether particular items unlock only after you have acquired matching gear. If you want one specific cosmetic, check the shop in-game before you travel.

The location and summoning steps are repeated across several game-guide publishers. None of the sources reviewed is a developer or publisher statement about this merchant, so treat the stock and behavior details as guide-level information.
Ghost of Yotei launched on PS5 on October 2, 2025, as Sucker Punch Productions announced. Patches since then may have changed how the merchant behaves or what they stock. If the merchant does not appear after you light the campfire, check the game’s current patch notes and confirm you lit the campfire on the coast at Stone Jaw Coast.
