A community post dated September 28, 2024 circulated draft skill details for Tsukishiro Yanagi under the label “ZZZ 1.3 Beta.” That post is historical beta material, not an authoritative description of her released kit. Yanagi is now an S-Rank Electric Anomaly agent in Section 6; the mechanics below are based on release-version data, cross-checked against a current guide, rather than treated as confirmation of every beta claim.
What did the beta leak claim?
The September 28, 2024 community discussion presented draft skill descriptions and numerical values for Yanagi’s version 1.3 beta kit. It establishes what was being circulated and how the material was labeled, but not the original leak’s provenance or whether every detail was accurate. The available excerpt is incomplete, so it cannot support a complete list of differences between beta and release. See the community post.
What does Yanagi’s released kit do?
Release-version data identifies Yanagi as an S-Rank Electric Anomaly agent affiliated with Section 6. Her combat kit revolves around switching between two stances, using Ruten to attack and change stance, and triggering an extra Disorder effect with her EX Special when the enemy already has an Anomaly. The structured record is labeled version 3.2.0, a game-data page branch context—not the version in which Yanagi was newly released. Review the release-version skill record; see the readable guide.
How do Jougen and Kagen stances differ?
| Stance | In-game bonus | Basic-attack effect |
|---|---|---|
| Jougen | 10% Electric DMG bonus | Provides more resistance to interruption during basic attacks |
| Kagen | 10% PEN Ratio | Increases interruption dealt by basic attacks |
Yanagi keeps the previous stance’s bonus for 8 seconds after switching, so changing stance does not immediately erase that prior benefit. These percentages and duration are in-game skill values in the release-version record, not external performance statistics.

How do Ruten and Swift Ruten work?
Her Special Attack, Ruten, delivers an Electric slash and changes her stance. If she uses it after the third, fourth, or fifth hit of a Basic Attack sequence, it becomes Swift Ruten: the attack is faster, blocks enemy attacks, and allows her to continue the sequence at the third basic hit. This gives the Special Attack a timing role as well as its stance-switching function.
What is Polarity Disorder, and does it remove the existing Anomaly?
Yanagi’s EX Special changes her stance and begins a 15-second Shinrabanshou state. Its downward hit can trigger Polarity Disorder if the target is already suffering from an Anomaly. The release-version record lists Polarity Disorder’s damage as 15% of the original Disorder damage plus 3200% of Yanagi’s Anomaly Proficiency. It does not remove the target’s existing Anomaly.
What activates Yanagi’s additional ability?
The additional ability is enabled if another squad member is either an Anomaly character or shares Yanagi’s Electric attribute. Once enabled, switching stances raises the Electric Anomaly buildup of her Basic Attacks by 45% for 8 seconds. These are skill conditions and values in the release-version data record.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How much of the beta leak can be compared with the released kit?
The available sources support a cautious distinction, not an exhaustive change log: the community post shows beta material circulated in September 2024, while the release-version record and guide describe the character’s later kit. They do not establish a verified, item-by-item history of changes to stance bonuses, attack behavior, anomaly interactions, or skill wording. The official Zenless Zone Zero character page lists Yanagi, but the accessible page information does not provide a dated official skill announcement. Neither the community post nor the two detailed kit references should be presented as an official HoYoverse confirmation of the beta leak.
Which version should players rely on?
For understanding Yanagi as playable, use the released skill description rather than an old beta excerpt. Gachabase’s record and ZenlessLab’s guide provide detailed mechanics, but both are third-party references, not official statements. Skill descriptions and guide advice can change with game updates, so check the live in-game text for the current version if a mechanic matters to a build or rotation. Tier rankings and team recommendations are judgments that can vary by patch and account; they are not established by the kit data alone.
