The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild soundtrack vinyl was released on September 4, 2026, in two formats: a 34-track 2LP and a 130-track 8LP box set. Nintendo announced colored limited editions alongside standard black-vinyl editions; check the retailer listing for current stock, price and the exact version before buying.
Which Breath of the Wild vinyl edition should you choose?
The main difference is scope: the 2LP is a curated selection of music, while the 8LP box set collects 130 tracks and comes in a more elaborate package. Nintendo’s US announcement listed prices of $49.99 for the 2LP and $194.99 for the 8LP when it announced the release on October 29, 2025. Those are announcement prices, not confirmed current offers.
| Edition | Music | Announced presentation | Nintendo US announcement price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2LP | 34 selected tracks | Limited edition: blue-and-white marbled heavyweight vinyl, wide-spined sleeve and printed inner sleeves. Standard edition: black vinyl. | $49.99 |
| 8LP box set | 130 tracks, newly remastered for vinyl; discs sequenced around themes that reflect the game’s progression | Limited edition: blue-and-gold splatter-effect heavyweight vinyl, printed disc inners and spined inner sleeves, in a rigid dual slipcase. Standard edition: black vinyl. | $194.99 |
For a selection of familiar themes in a smaller set, the 2LP is the more focused option. Choose the 8LP if you want the broader collection and deluxe box presentation. The listed prices come from Nintendo of America’s October 29, 2025 announcement; the Canadian product pages provide further 2LP and 8LP specifications.
What music is on the 2LP and 8LP?
2LP: 34 selected tracks
The 2LP tracklist includes “Main Theme,” “Overworld (Day),” “Kass’s Theme,” “Great Fairy Fountain,” “Hyrule Castle” and “Epilogue.” It is a selection rather than a complete soundtrack collection. Nintendo Canada’s 2LP product page lists all 34 tracks.

8LP: 130 tracks
Nintendo describes the 8LP as a 130-track collection, newly remastered for vinyl. Its discs cover music associated with exploration, battles, Divine Beasts, Shrines and story material. See Nintendo Canada’s 8LP product page for the extensive tracklisting.
Where can you buy the soundtrack vinyl?
Nintendo announced that standard black-vinyl editions would be sold through select retailers, but that announcement does not establish which retailers have stock now. Check Nintendo’s regional store and retailers carrying the release, and confirm the edition, price and availability on the product page before ordering. Laced Records is Nintendo’s partner for the collection; Nintendo Canada identifies it as the manufacturer on the product pages.
Can you listen to the full soundtrack digitally?
Nintendo points to Nintendo Music as a digital way to hear the full soundtrack. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required. The app is a listening alternative, not one of the physical vinyl editions.

Nintendo’s collection materials credit Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata and Hajime Wakai on the 2LP page; the 8LP page also credits Soshi Abe. The credited names therefore differ between the two product pages.
