ZiMAD announced a goal of supporting 130,000 square feet; Dots.eco later reported that the campaign protected more than 170,000 square feet.
What was the ZiMAD and Dots.eco partnership?
ZiMAD announced the partnership on July 18, 2024, for its mobile game Magic Jigsaw Puzzles. The campaign added special wildlife-image puzzle packs to the game, with animal facts accompanying each pack. This was digital in-game content, not a physical puzzle product. ZiMAD’s announcement described the initiative as a way to connect gameplay with environmental support.
Dots.eco says the campaign ran from July 15 through August 15, 2024, and featured three limited-edition packs. It reported that each pack purchase was linked to protection of 10 square feet of wildlife habitat. GamesBeat reported shortly after launch that ZiMAD said several thousand packs had already been purchased. GamesBeat’s coverage does not establish a final sales total.
How much habitat did the campaign support?
The two headline figures refer to different claims at different times, and the sources do not explain the gap between them.

Dots.eco’s later case study reported that more than 170,000 square feet were protected. That is the partner’s retrospective result, not an independently verified measurement in the available coverage. The cited accounts also do not identify the habitat project locations or describe how the totals were verified. Dots.eco’s case study provides the later figure and per-purchase description.
What did Dots.eco report about in-app purchases?
Dots.eco said in its case study that in-app purchases increased by 50% during the campaign month. The cited passage does not provide the measurement method or a comparison baseline, and it does not establish that the wildlife packs caused the increase. Treat this as a partner-reported campaign metric, not an independently validated result. The case study is the source for the figure.
