Build Qingyi as an Electric Stun Agent. Prioritize Impact, keep her Basic Attack combo running so Voltage and Daze keep building, and time her enhanced finisher to apply Subjugation stacks during Flash Connect. For the W-Engine, Icy Veins’ guide names Ice-Jade Teapot as the top pick, but the best choice depends on your team and the content you run. For Drive Discs, Prydwen’s current page leans toward supportive sets for many teams, while Icy Veins describes a Daze-focused set. Both are guide recommendations, not tested results, so treat them as starting points.
How Qingyi’s stun loop works
Qingyi’s job is to set up the stun window that her teammates cash in on. Icy Veins rates her S-Rank and builds the whole kit around a single cycle: generate Voltage, enter Flash Connect, and land the finisher that stacks Subjugation on the target.
The rotation, step by step
- Build Voltage by attacking with her Basic Attack combo.
- Keep the combo going. Her sustained Basic Attack chain is what drives Daze and Voltage together, so dropped combos slow the whole cycle.
- Once the Flash Connect Voltage gauge reaches 75%, Qingyi enters the Flash Connect State.
- Land the enhanced Basic Attack finisher to apply Subjugation. Ideally this happens before or during the stun setup, so your damage dealers can use the window.
Subjugation stacks
- Each stack raises the target’s Stun DMG Multiplier by 3%. The cap is 20 stacks per target, which equals 60%. These are Icy Veins figures for the guide’s reviewed version.
- Stacks reset once the target recovers from stun, so a stack count is only useful within the current stun window.
- Finishing the full sequence gives more damage and Daze than an early finisher. An early finisher applies stacks sooner but gives up part of that output, so the choice depends on whether your damage dealer needs the multiplier immediately.
- A Perfect Dodge performed with the finisher can apply 10 stacks at once, according to Icy Veins.
EX Special and positioning
Prydwen notes that the EX Special can be charged for more damage, more Voltage, and more Daze, at a higher energy cost. The same guide warns that some strikes miss unless Qingyi stays close to the target. Treat close positioning as a practical tip from that guide rather than a universal rule that applies to every enemy and arena.
Stat priorities
Impact is the first priority
Icy Veins makes Impact central to the build and recommends an Impact main stat on Disc 6. The guide describes a 1:6 Impact-to-ATK conversion from Qingyi’s Core Passive, starting at 120 Impact and reaching a maximum of 600 additional ATK at 220 Impact. Beyond that point the bonus is capped, so extra Impact has little value.
#1 Best Overall
The guide also warns about diminishing returns when a single full combo already stuns the target reliably. In that case, Icy Veins suggests shifting spare stat budget toward ATK, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, or Electric DMG.
Disc slot guide
Prydwen gives the following slot-by-slot recommendations. Its level-60 endgame stat ranges are useful as targets, but they are not hard thresholds, because roster, W-Engine, encounter, and patch changes can shift what a build needs.
Rank #2
- Made of Durable Acrylic
- Perfect for any Zenless Zone Zero fan
| Disc slot | Prydwen recommendation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Disc 4 | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG | Core damage stats for her Basic Attack output. |
| Disc 5 | Electric DMG or ATK | Choose based on how much Electric damage your rotation already has. |
| Disc 6 | Impact | Matches Icy Veins’ main-stat recommendation for this slot. |
W-Engine choices
Icy Veins identifies Ice-Jade Teapot as Qingyi’s best W-Engine. Its Basic Attack stacks increase Impact, and it grants a squad damage bonus once a specified stack threshold is reached. The guide lists several alternatives, each with a different condition.
| W-Engine | Where it sits in the guides | Key condition or trait |
|---|---|---|
| Ice-Jade Teapot | Icy Veins’ top pick | Impact from Basic Attack stacks; squad damage bonus at a stack threshold |
| Blazing Laurel | Alternative (Icy Veins) | Benefit depends on Ice or Fire teammates |
| Steam Oven | Alternative (Icy Veins; craftable, Prydwen) | Energy-linked Impact |
| Precious Fossilized Core | Craftable alternative (Prydwen) | Performance varies between Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault |
| The Restrained | Alternative (Icy Veins) | Conditions not stated in the sources reviewed |
| Hellfire Gears | Alternative (Icy Veins) | Conditions not stated in the sources reviewed |
| Demara Battery Mark II | Alternative (Icy Veins) | Conditions not stated in the sources reviewed |
How to choose between them
- Daze and Impact output: compare how much stun pressure each engine adds per combo.
- Energy and EX Special frequency: an engine that generates energy lets you use the EX Special more often.
- Attribute fit: check whether your damage dealer is Ice or Fire before counting on Blazing Laurel.
- Mode performance: Prydwen’s craftable comparisons differ between Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault.
- Availability: whether you already own the engine or can craft it. Banner-limited engines may not stay obtainable, so check the in-game banner schedule instead of assuming permanent access.
Drive Disc sets
The two guides disagree in emphasis, and the difference is about context. Prydwen ranks King of the Summit (4-piece) as its leading stun set for many teams. It has a CRIT Rate condition and gives a squad CRIT DMG buff. Icy Veins, by contrast, describes Shockstar Disco (4-piece) as a Daze-focused choice.
Rank #3
- Zenless Zone Zero GSC Nendoroid Figure - Miyabi
| Disc set | Prydwen’s position | What it gives | Caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| King of the Summit (4-piece) | Leading stun set for many teams | Squad CRIT DMG buff | Requires a 50% CRIT Rate condition |
| Astral Voice | General support alternative | Quick Assist buff | Needs buff uptime to be worth it |
| Shockstar Disco (4-piece) | Maximizes Daze | Personal Daze | Advantage over a 2-piece Daze effect is often marginal unless it creates an extra stun window |
In practice, the question is whether you want Qingyi’s own Daze or a team buff, and whether you can keep the set’s conditions met. A player who already hits the CRIT Rate requirement and runs several attacking teammates may gain more from King of the Summit. A player with a single damage dealer who needs the most stun pressure may prefer Shockstar Disco.
Teams and field time
Prydwen calls Qingyi especially compatible with burst-focused Zhu Yuan and Harumasa. Both can use the stun window that Qingyi builds, and both have downtime while she works. Other pairings in the guides are:

- Total height: Approx. 7.9 inches (200 mm)
- The photos shown may differ slightly from the actual product
- Prototype production: Blackcat
- Dedicated pedestal included
- Hugo: viable, though Prydwen notes that Ice-focused alternatives may be stronger when you have them.
- Astra Yao, Yuzuha, and Nicole: generalist support choices, each with different buffs.
- Yixuan: a strong pairing in fights where stun-window damage decides the outcome. Her field time can compete with Qingyi’s when you need substantial damage outside the stun window or extra resources.
Qingyi’s high on-field time is the central team constraint. Before you commit to a lineup, check the following:
- Whether the damage dealer’s own field-time needs clash with Qingyi’s combo.
- Whether the teammate’s damage actually depends on the stun window.
- Whether your roster and the current patch still support the pairing, since team rankings change over time.
Troubleshooting the combo
- Subjugation stacks do not build: confirm the Voltage gauge reached 75% before you attempted to enter Flash Connect, and confirm the finisher landed rather than being interrupted.
- Strikes miss: move Qingyi closer to the target. Prydwen flags this as a common cause of missed strikes.
- Stacks disappear mid-fight: this is expected behavior. Stacks reset when the target recovers from stun, so reapply them in the next window.
- Extra Impact feels wasted: you may be past the 220 Impact threshold. Move the surplus toward ATK, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, or Electric DMG.
- Damage dealer loses uptime: reduce Qingyi’s EX Special usage or swap to a support whose field time fits the rotation.
Version and source dates
Icy Veins’ Qingyi guide was reviewed for Version 3.1 on July 28, 2026. Prydwen’s page was accessed on October 8, 2026. Patch changes can affect engine balance, disc set value, and team rankings, so check the version note in each guide before applying a specific stat threshold or ranking.
