Escape from Tarkov patch 0.15.0.0 arrived as a wipe-era update announced for August 20, 2024. It reset player levels and stashes in the main game, while leaving PvE profiles untouched. Its headline additions included a rebuilt Factory, the new boss Partisan, weapons such as the IWI UZI and SR-3M, and combat systems for tripwires and weapon mounting.
Did Escape from Tarkov wipe with patch 0.15?
Yes. Battlestate Games announced that patch 0.15.0.0 would include a wipe. The published changelog specifies that player levels and stashes were reset, but PvE game-mode profiles were not affected. So the wipe did not apply to every profile in every mode.
The developer’s August 20, 2024 announcement gave estimated maintenance windows of five hours for Arena and eight hours for Escape from Tarkov. Those were pre-deployment estimates, not confirmation of the actual downtime. The announcement also scheduled a Twitch Drops campaign after the patch release.
What changed in Factory?
Factory received a broad redesign while retaining its general dimensions and layout. The changelog describes changes to buildings, interiors, cellars, structures and machinery, with some areas and the cellar connecting the workshops expanded.

The update also added outdoor areas and crossings, and adjusted spawns, extracts, AI behavior, loot distribution and tasks. These are map and gameplay changes; the documented notes do not establish a specific performance improvement.
Who is the new boss?
Partisan was the new boss highlighted by Battlestate Games in its official trailer description, alongside the reworked Factory and new guns. The available official material establishes his introduction but does not give a complete account of his spawn conditions or combat mechanics, so those details should not be treated as confirmed here.

Which weapons and combat systems were added?
New weapons
Patch summaries identify the IWI UZI and SR-3M among the weapons introduced in 0.15. The available coverage does not establish a complete list of every new weapon or variant, so these examples are not an exhaustive inventory.
Tripwires and weapon mounting
The update added tripwires and weapon mounting. A changelog summary describes using a tripwire installation kit with a hand grenade to set a tripwire. Weapon mounting lets players brace weapons against surfaces, reducing recoil and hand-stamina drain; bipods were among the related changes.

Why 0.15 mattered as a wipe update
Patch 0.15 combined a reset for player levels and stashes with a substantial map overhaul and additions to combat. Its defining changes were the Factory rebuild and Partisan’s introduction, backed by weapons including the UZI and SR-3M and new ways to use grenades and mounted weapons. The PvE wipe exception is important when describing the reset: PvE profiles were not affected.
