Store ordinary personal vehicles in an owned garage. Some vehicles use dedicated storage in properties such as a Facility, Hangar, Nightclub, or Vehicle Warehouse, so check the vehicle’s eligible location rather than assuming every property is a general-purpose garage. To find a stored car, call the Mechanic; on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Enhanced, you can also use Vehicle Organization to view and move vehicles between garages.
How to find a vehicle you already own
Request delivery with the Mechanic
- Open the in-game phone and select Contacts.
- Call Mechanic.
- Choose Mansions or the garage where you think the vehicle is stored. Choose a floor if the game prompts you.
- Select the vehicle to request delivery. Rockstar Games Customer Support says there is a two-minute cooldown between Mechanic calls.

View and move vehicles with Vehicle Organization
In Freemode on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC Enhanced, open Interaction Menu > Manage Vehicles > Vehicle Organization. Choose a garage to see its vehicle list, select a vehicle, then choose its destination garage. This menu is not documented for every platform; if you do not have it, use the Mechanic.
Where different vehicles are stored
Use the property that matches the vehicle’s type and purpose. The figures below are capacities from the Rockstar update notes that introduced each property; they are not a universal limit for ordinary garages.

What happens if a vehicle is missing after changing garages?
If a replacement garage has less space than your previous one, vehicles that exceed its capacity are placed in storage rather than treated as lost. Call the Mechanic, then drive the vehicle into an available garage space, or use a garage with more room. Rockstar explains this in its replacement-garage troubleshooting guide.
How to avoid deleting a vehicle by mistake
When you put a vehicle into a full garage, the game asks you to choose an existing vehicle to replace. Confirming that choice permanently removes the selected vehicle from your inventory; it does not transfer it to another garage. If you want to keep both vehicles, cancel the replacement and choose a garage with an open space. See Rockstar’s vehicle-loss guidance.

GTA+ access to the Vinewood Club Garage
Rockstar’s 2024 update notes say vehicles stored in the Vinewood Club Garage remain accessible if GTA+ membership expires, and can still be stored there. Without an active membership, however, you cannot add or replace vehicles in that garage.
