There is no single shared description of Level 100000 across the Backrooms wikis reviewed. The Backrooms Freewriting Wiki calls its version “Moon View”; the Backrooms Liminality Wiki describes a ruined city; and an Old Backrooms Wiki index titles its Level 100000 “Switchbacks.” The number alone does not identify which story someone means.
Why Level 100000 has more than one answer
The Backrooms are presented through multiple fan-authored wiki continuities, and the reviewed pages use the same level number for different settings. No evidence here establishes one franchise-wide canon or a definitive authority for Level 100000. When discussing its lore, name the wiki or continuity rather than treating one version as universal.
The three versions identified
“Moon View” on the Backrooms Freewriting Wiki
The Freewriting Wiki page names Level 100000 “Moon View”. It portrays a moonlit environment associated with artists, settlements, a beach, and plains, along with fictional environmental dangers. Its page also supplies in-world entrance and exit lore, including photographing the moon as a possible entrance and noclipping from Level 99999. These are details of that story, not real-world instructions or verified claims.
The wiki’s levels index also lists “Level 100000: Moon View.”

Level 100000 on the Backrooms Liminality Wiki
The Liminality Wiki page depicts a bleak, sunless, ruined city associated with isolation, memories, and despair. It labels the setting lethal and uninhabitable. This is a separate fan-authored interpretation, not another description of “Moon View.”
“Switchbacks” in the Old Backrooms Wiki index
The Old Backrooms Wiki levels index gives Level 100000 the title “Switchbacks.” The listing confirms another use of the number, but does not establish that this is the same setting as either of the two detailed pages above.

How to tell which Level 100000 someone means
- If they say “Moon View,” they mean the Backrooms Freewriting Wiki version.
- If they describe a sunless ruined city, isolation, and despair, they mean the Backrooms Liminality Wiki version.
- If they use the title “Switchbacks,” they are referring to the Old Backrooms Wiki listing.
Because these are user-authored fictional settings, details such as danger ratings, entrances, and exits belong to the individual page’s continuity. A useful clarification is: “Which Backrooms wiki or continuity do you mean?”
