How to reach Shadowlord
- Go to the part of the area that contains the globe.
- Look at the floor near the globe for a shadow that is unusually dark. That shadow is the target.
- Interact with the shadow to encounter Shadowlord.
- You do not need to wait for a specific time. The Date Everything! Wiki’s Shadowlord entry states that the shadow can be interacted with at any time, including at night.
Landmarks to recognize the spot
Destructoid’s guide to Shadowlord describes the room as containing a piano, a fireplace, and the globe, with a door nearby. Those landmarks are the most reliable way to confirm you are in the right place. Check the floor for the dark shadow cast by the globe and interact with that shadow.
Why room names vary between guides
Sources do not agree on what to call the room. Destructoid’s dedicated guide calls the setting the living room, but elsewhere in the same article the globe is placed in the living room and a separate passage mentions meeting Maggie during the tutorial, which makes the label less clear. A Dexerto search result refers to the same globe as being in the dining room. The Date Everything! Wiki’s all-character guide avoids room names altogether and describes the spot as the globe’s strange shadow.
Because of this, use the globe, the piano, the fireplace, and the nearby door to identify the location rather than relying on a room name.
