If your Roblox gift card is damaged, keep the card and its receipt, try redeeming it at roblox.com/redeem in a web browser if the PIN is still readable, and if it still will not redeem, contact Roblox Support with the card details and images listed below. Physical damage is not guaranteed to qualify for a replacement. Roblox’s terms separate lost or damaged cards from non-functional cards, so Support has to assess your specific card, and the outcome depends on the terms for the country where you bought it.
Recovery steps in order
- Keep the card, packaging, and receipt. Do not throw away the card or the purchase record. Roblox asks for a receipt image and card images when a redemption problem is escalated to Support.
- Try redeeming it in a browser. If you can still read the PIN, go to roblox.com/redeem in a desktop or mobile web browser and enter each character carefully. Roblox’s retail gift card guidance says to redeem in a browser rather than in the Roblox app or on a console. Take care with characters that look alike, such as the letter O and the number 0, and with smudged or partly scratched digits.
- If the code says it was already redeemed, check your other accounts. Roblox indicates the Robux may have been added to a different account, such as one used by a family member or an older account you may have forgotten. If the card was sealed and untampered with when you bought it, Roblox directs you to Support with the receipt and the code.
- Contact Roblox Support if the card still fails. Use the checklist in the next section. Support decides what happens next; there is no published timeline for that decision.
What to include in a Support request
Roblox’s escalation checklist asks for the following. Gathering everything before you write in avoids a back-and-forth that delays the review.
- Your Roblox username.
- Purchase date, amount, store name, and city.
- Your country of residence.
- The card PIN and serial number. If the PIN is scratched, give the characters you can read and say which ones you cannot.
- An image of the purchase receipt.
- Clear images of the front and back of the card, or of the full e-gift card if that is what you bought.
- An image of any error message the redemption page showed.
Roblox says the images must be in JPG or PNG format. Photograph the card on a flat, well-lit surface so the PIN and serial number are sharp and not cropped.
Damaged cards and the replacement question
Roblox’s terms do not promise a replacement for every damaged card. Two separate clauses in the U.S. terms matter here.

Lost, damaged, or stolen cards
The U.S. Terms and Conditions for Roblox Gift Cards and Credits, last updated April 30, 2026, state through Roblox Prepaid Company, LLC: “Lost, damaged, or stolen Gift Cards are not the responsibility of Issuer. The value of any lost, damaged or stolen Gift Cards, or any Gift Cards used without authorization, will not be replaced or replenished.” Read on its own, this clause means a physically damaged card is not automatically replaced.
Non-functional cards
The same U.S. terms also state: “IN THE EVENT THAT A CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH CARD.” This gives replacement as the remedy when a card does not work. The line between a damaged card and a non-functional one is what Support decides on the facts of your case, so describe exactly what happened: whether the PIN is unreadable, whether the card was scratched or bent, and whether the redemption page rejected a code you entered correctly.

Roblox publishes separate gift card terms for each region. The wording compared here covers the U.S., U.K., and New Zealand terms; Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia also have regional terms, but their wording was not compared for this article, so check the version for your own country.

- No standard processing time for Support review of damaged cards is published.
