“Universalanger Minecraft” most likely refers to universalAnger, a Minecraft gamerule that can make an angered neutral mob target the nearest player rather than only the player who attacked it. It is not the name of a standalone Minecraft feature or product in the official sources cited here; if you mean a mod or download with that name, its identity needs to be checked against the specific listing.

What does the universalAnger gamerule do?

When a player attacks a neutral mob, universalAnger changes how that mob chooses a target: it can attack the nearest player, even if that player was not the one who provoked it. Minecraft’s Java Edition Nether Release notes describe the rule as applying when a player attacks a neutral mob; it does not apply when another mob attacks one.

The rule is disabled by default, according to the same release notes. With it off, the universal targeting behavior is not enabled.

How is forgiveDeadPlayers related?

forgiveDeadPlayers is a separate, related gamerule that affects what happens to anger when the targeted player dies. It is enabled by default. If it is disabled, anger can persist after the targeted player dies, as described in the Nether Release notes.

Setting Default Effect described in the official notes
universalAnger Disabled An angered neutral mob may target the nearest player rather than only the player who attacked it.
forgiveDeadPlayers Enabled If disabled, anger can persist after the targeted player dies.

When was universalAnger added?

Minecraft’s official Java Edition 1.16 Pre-Release 1 notes identify universalAnger as a rule added in version 1.16. The Nether Release notes provide further behavioral details, including nearest-player targeting and its connection to player attacks.

Is Universalanger a mod or download?

The official sources cited here document universalAnger as an in-game gamerule, not a separate mod, datapack, resource pack, or server add-on called “Universalanger.” A similarly named community download may exist, but its creator, contents, and safety cannot be established from the name alone. Verify the publisher and package page before installing anything.

How do you turn universalAnger on?

The official notes cited here explain the rule’s behavior and history but do not establish command syntax for every current Minecraft version or edition. Check the documentation for the exact version and edition you are playing before using a command; do not assume one command applies universally.
