The gameplay reveal trailer for The Talos Principle III, released on October 8, 2026, is the first public look at the game in motion. The trailer confirms the series is moving into the Anomaly, a place where known physical laws fail. The game is listed for PC via Steam and for PS5. No store page gives a fixed release date yet: Steam says “Coming soon,” the PlayStation Store says “Release date to be determined,” and Gematsu reports a 2027 release.

What the trailer shows

The trailer is a gameplay reveal, so it is meant to show the game being played rather than explain its story. The sources available for this article describe the premise and the features the publisher advertises, but they do not provide a shot-by-shot breakdown of the footage. If you want to know whether a specific mechanic or location appears in the video, check the trailer directly. This article does not attribute particular puzzles or scenes to particular moments in the footage.

What can be stated with confidence is the context around the reveal. The game is developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, and Gematsu’s report of the October 8 release reproduces the publisher’s overview of the setting and premise.

The setting: the Anomaly

The publisher’s overview places the protagonist in the Anomaly, a contradictory place where the laws of physics do not work as expected. According to the overview reproduced by Gematsu, the area contains crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts. The protagonist is an explorer with fragmented memories who moves through increasingly complex puzzles and uncovers the history of the world humanity built.

Where the trilogy is heading

The official Steam announcement contains a statement that sets expectations for the new game’s approach. It reads: “Just as Talos II was not the same game as Talos I, so this last game in the series will be unique in its own ways.” The page does not name an individual speaker, so this should be attributed to the official announcement rather than to any named developer.
