The book adds a selected Fyreslayers roster to the wider Khazalite Holds faction, and Warhammer Community says players can use Fyreslayers units alone or choose the Fyrd of Fyrepeak Army of Renown. The main collection change is that Vulkite Berzerkers and six other entries are scheduled to move to Warhammer Legends after a one-year competitive-events transition measured from the Battletome’s release.
Which Fyreslayers are listed in Battletome: Khazalite Holds?
Warhammer Community’s 2026 coverage lists 12 Fyreslayers unit entries in the Battletome:

Gotrek Gurnisson receives an honourable mention, but Warhammer Community explicitly says he is not technically a Fyreslayer. Warhammer Community’s Fyreslayers roster announcement names the entries and explains the distinction.
Which entries are moving to Warhammer Legends?
Warhammer Community identifies seven departing entries:

The announcement says these entries will remain usable in competitive events for one year after the new Battletome releases, then move to Warhammer Legends. The clock is relative to the book’s release; the announcement does not give a calendar release date. It also says the departing units will soon come off sale, which does not establish that they have already disappeared from all retailers.
Why Vulkite Berzerkers matter most to existing collections
Warhammer Community calls Vulkite Berzerkers the most impactful departure because they were a mainstay in several armies. Its description of the new roster points toward a more elite force, with Hearthguard and Flameseekers as infantry and Magmadroths and characters supporting them. That is a description of the roster shift, not a published competitive ranking or guarantee about how the army will perform.

Can you still play a Fyreslayers-only army?
Yes. Warhammer Community says players who want an army composed entirely of Fyreslayers can select Fyreslayers units or choose the Fyrd of Fyrepeak Army of Renown. Its preview also says existing miniatures can be used with the new Battletome, either in a full Fyreslayers army or alongside the new Kromdron. The official Khazalite Holds Army Set preview describes both approaches.
The practical choice is whether to keep the force focused on Fyreslayers or broaden it with Kromdron. The preview establishes that both are options, but it does not provide enough rules, points, or tournament data to compare their competitive strength.

Ormyr and Ashtongue are the new Fyreslayers pair listed in the coverage. Warhammer Community describes Ormyr as a wandering beastmaster accompanied by his kyndledroth, Ashtongue. The article establishes their place in the range, but does not give a full rules profile in the information covered here.
What Fyreslayers forces are in the Army Set preview?
The preview names two distinct groups. The Magmic Fyrd Spearhead is Fyreslayers-themed and includes a Magmadroth ridden by a Runefather, a Runesmiter, nine Vulkyn Flameseekers and five Auric Hearthguard. Separately, a Regiment of Renown contains an Auric Flamekeeper, a Grimhold Exile and five Hearthguard Berzerkers; it can be used by any Order army.

The Battletome is included in the Army Set, and the preview says it will also be available separately later. Warhammer Community’s wording about the range being available for preorder “very soon” is relative, not a confirmed date. The cited announcements do not establish a calendar preorder or release date, price, current stock, or standalone kit availability.

The preview presents the Khazalite Holds as a new duardin faction and also refers to Fyreslayers as Grimmdron. The setting article describes karaks built into mountains, with upper halls and underground deeps. Holds include resonance chambers where Khazalites believe they can hear the stone, halls devoted to remembering the Ancestor Gods and a great forge at each hold’s heart. This is background lore, not a statement about game rules. Warhammer Community’s Khazalite Holds setting feature provides that context.
