Star Wars Zero Company has crossed an official one-million milestone, but EA’s wording does not confirm one million copies sold. The copy-sales figure reported in September was an estimate from analytics firm Alinea Analytics, not an official EA sales total.
What the one-million claims actually say
| Claim | Source and date | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| More than one million “operators and counting” | Official EA-StarWars account, October 9, 2026 | The account announced an operators milestone, but did not define “operators” or say that the figure represents copies sold. See the official-news post. |
| More than one million copies sold through | Alinea Analytics estimate, reported September 22–23, 2026 | A third-party estimate of copies sold through since launch, not a publisher-confirmed total. The reporting says EA had not announced official sales figures. Read Twin Suns Gaming’s report; read Gadgets 360’s report. |
The official post thanked supporters and said Patch 1.2 would arrive the following week. Its exact milestone wording—“Over one million operators and counting!”—should not be rewritten as “one million copies sold.” The post does not explain whether operators means players, characters, or another measure.
What Alinea Analytics estimated
Twin Suns Gaming reported that Alinea Analytics estimated more than one million sold-through copies and approximately $50 million in gross revenue. These are estimates, not EA-reported figures. The cited coverage says Alinea did not explain its calculation method in the post, and the reporting reviewed does not provide audited public sales data.
Alinea’s estimated unit mix was:
| Platform | Estimated share of copies |
|---|---|
| Steam | 69.9% |
| PlayStation | 19.9% |
| Xbox, including Xbox PC | 10.2% |
The same report said console copies accounted for a larger share of estimated revenue than of estimated units, attributing the difference to regional pricing. Neither those platform percentages nor the revenue estimate should be treated as verified publisher data. The approximately $50 million figure is estimated gross revenue, not EA’s net proceeds or profit.

That is not established by the cited announcements. As of the October 9, 2026 official post, EA-StarWars had announced more than one million “operators,” while the copy-sales figure remained a September estimate attributed to Alinea Analytics. The two claims concern different wording and sources; the official milestone does not independently verify the estimate.
