What OB47 Winterlands: Aurora added
The two builds belonged to the OB47 update cycle, which Garena began rolling out to Google Play and the App Store on December 4, 2024. The update’s central theme was Winterlands: Aurora. Its most important changes were gameplay features rather than a simple app-number change.
Snow-covered Bermuda and Frosty Tracks
Bermuda received a winter treatment, with snow covering the map and rivers freezing over. Clock Tower and Factory also received continuous snowfall, changing the look and atmosphere of those areas.
The update introduced Frosty Tracks, rails placed around areas including Peak, Katulistiwa, Clock Tower, and Factory. Players could use them for rapid movement while still performing several actions, including:
- Shooting while riding;
- Turning and changing movement direction;
- Accelerating and braking; and
- Using throwables.
This made the rails more than a one-button transport system: they created moving combat routes that could be used for rotations, escapes, and attacks.
Aurora events, Coin Machines, and Frosty Machines
The seasonal Aurora Event added interactive Coin Machines affected by Aurora colors. Interacting with the machines could provide team-wide buffs. The documented effects included EP regeneration, increased armor penetration, and additional Gloo Maker experience, with the specific effect depending on the Aurora color.
Frosty Machines also appeared as seasonal match interactions, supplying loot and other benefits. These systems encouraged squads to visit event locations instead of treating the winter theme as visual decoration only.

Koda joins the character roster
OB47 introduced Koda, a snow-fox-themed character. His documented ability could increase movement speed and detect enemies behind cover within the specified range and timing limits. The exact usefulness of that ability depended on positioning, timing, and the match situation; it was not a universal guarantee that every concealed enemy would always be revealed.
Awakening-system change
Garena also changed how character skills worked in the awakening system. According to the OB47 patch notes, non-awakened skills were replaced with their awakened versions, while players could still use both visual appearances. In other words, the appearance choice and the skill state were treated separately.

Weapons, attachments, and combat adjustments
The patch introduced the M590 shotgun and adjusted weapons and attachments, including the P90, M4A1, M14, Trogon, and M1014. These changes affected the balance of existing loadouts, so weapon behavior in an archived OB47 installation should not be assumed to match later Free Fire versions.
Elimination Replay
Elimination Replay allowed an eliminated player to watch a short replay from the eliminator’s perspective. The feature also provided a way to report suspected cheating. A replay can offer useful context, but it should not automatically be treated as conclusive proof of misconduct; use the in-game reporting process when appropriate.
More interactive ziplines

The Behavior Rating System tied player conduct to in-game consequences. Garena documented effects involving rewards, ranking protection, and match muting. Performance Mode
OB47 included a Performance Mode intended to improve frame rate, reduce heating, and conserve battery on supported graphics settings. “Supported” is important here: the feature was not a universal promise of identical performance on every phone. Results depend on the device, graphics configuration, thermal conditions, background applications, and the particular build being used.
How to download Free Fire safely

There is also a practical compatibility problem: an altered package may not authenticate, update, or connect reliably to the game’s services. Do not disable security protections or bypass the official client simply to install an old version.
