The planned feature will let players select a stage—including AREA6—and adjust ship settings to practise specific sections at their own pace.
What Training Mode is expected to do
In a September 18, 2026 producer’s letter, CAVE Interactive producer Akihiro Kotani said: “You’ll be able to choose the stage you want to practice—including the new AREA6—and freely adjust your ship settings, giving you the space to practice at your own pace and work on specific sections.” Kotani also said the feature would be added “in October.” Those statements describe the planned scope and timing, not a confirmed release day or a menu walkthrough. The announcement does not list which ship settings will be adjustable. It also does not specify whether players can select individual sections directly, how a practice session starts or resets, or what buttons and controller inputs Training Mode uses.
How to look for Training Mode once the update is available
The steps below are cautious ways to check the game; CAVE has not confirmed this navigation or the exact labels.

- Open the current version of DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite and check its mode menu for Training Mode.
- If the option is present, open it and use the displayed prompts to select a stage. The producer specifically named AREA6 among the selectable stages.
- Review the ship-setting choices shown on screen and adjust only the options available in your build.
- Use the game’s displayed controls to begin practising and to find any section-selection or reset functions. Their availability and behavior have not been specified in the announcement.
Check controls in your own build
Do not assume that Training Mode uses familiar inputs from another DoDonPachi release. Check the current game’s Options menu and any on-screen prompts for keyboard or controller bindings. CAVE’s August 4 demo update notes mention an options-menu improvement, a controller input fix, and revised default keyboard controls, but they do not publish the bindings or establish the full game’s Training Mode control scheme. DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite is listed on Steam as a CAVE Interactive title released August 26, 2026. The Steam listing also provides a demo. Check the game’s current update notes or in-game information for confirmation that the October Training Mode update has reached your build; an announced month alone does not establish availability on October 4.
