For campaign progress in Idle Huntress: Girl’s Land, build a team around complementary jobs: a durable front line, damage dealers, and the healing, shielding, buffs, or control your roster needs. Then check skill interactions, element bonuses, and the stage’s enemies. There is no universally best five-Huntress lineup; the right composition depends on who you own, how developed they are, and what is stopping you.
Which roles should your campaign team cover?
Start with what each Huntress does in combat, not rarity alone. BlueStacks’ team-building guide describes Strength units as durable frontliners, Agility units as damage-focused but more vulnerable, and Wisdom units as magical damage dealers or support. Its practical recommendation is to bring at least one Strength character alongside a useful mix of Agility and Wisdom units—not to follow a fixed formula regardless of the encounter.
As you choose from your roster, check whether the team has:
- A character able to take pressure: A durable frontliner can absorb attacks that would otherwise threaten more vulnerable allies.
- Enough damage for the encounter: Area damage helps against groups; single-target damage is useful for priority enemies. Include both where your available Huntresses allow it.
- Support that solves a real problem: Healing, shields, and buffs can help damage dealers stay active. Control may also be useful when it disrupts a dangerous enemy.
A team full of high-rarity Huntresses can still struggle if they duplicate the same function or leave an important job uncovered.

How do I build around the Huntresses I have?
Read the skill descriptions of the SR and higher Huntresses available to you, then look for effects that reinforce one another. For example, consider whether a buff helps a damage dealer, whether a control effect buys time for your team, or whether healing covers a frontline that otherwise falls quickly. These are ways to assess fit, not guarantees that a combination will clear every stage.
When deciding between two candidates, compare their actual contribution in your current lineup:

- Function: Which one better fills the missing job—durability, support, area damage, single-target damage, or control?
- Skill interaction: Does the candidate strengthen an ally’s useful effect, or repeat something the team already has?
- Investment and availability: How developed is the Huntress you can field now? A theoretical ranking does not account for your roster or investment.
- Stage fit: Which skill set better answers the enemies and pressure you face on this stage?
A historical early-roster example from the community Battle Database illustrates role coverage rather than a current best team: Fuma Kotaro as main damage dealer, Andersen as attack buffer, Teresa as healer, Paris as defense reducer, and Marco Polo as control. Treat it as an illustration of complementary jobs, not as a recommendation to copy or evidence of the strongest campaign lineup. Community Battle Database.
How should I place Huntresses in formation?
Use a formation preset that puts durable characters where they can absorb attacks and keeps fragile, important damage dealers or support less exposed. Placement is encounter-dependent: enemy targeting and skills vary, and area attacks can punish a formation that clusters everyone together.

- Put the Huntress best able to withstand incoming attacks in the position that draws pressure.
- Keep vulnerable damage dealers and essential support away from avoidable exposure where the available formation allows.
- Watch for enemy area attacks; do not assume the safest arrangement is to group every ally tightly.
- If the team stalls, change positions and test again against that encounter rather than treating one layout as universally correct.
Do elemental bonuses matter for campaign?
Yes, but weigh them alongside role coverage and the stage. BlueStacks describes passive team bonuses for shared elements as well as elemental matchup strengths and weaknesses. A mono-element team can gain its shared bonus, but that does not make it automatically better than a mixed team that covers the jobs the encounter requires.
The guide also discusses the risk of being countered by a mono-element lineup in PvP. That PvP warning should not be mistaken for a campaign-specific penalty. For campaign, consider the element bonus and matchup as part of the decision, then keep the team’s functions and the current encounter in view.

Which Huntresses should I consider for campaign?
Pocket Gamer separates PvE, PvP, boss, and general rankings. Its PvE tier list displays the following S+ candidates and is marked updated September 4, 2026, for version 1.1.34:
| Reference | Huntresses shown | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Pocket Gamer S+ PvE tier, version 1.1.34; updated September 4, 2026 | Hermes, Dracula, Daphne, Loki, Medusa, Himiko, Hannibal, Honda Tadakatsu, Helen, Hua Tuo, Robin Hood, Date Masamune, Shibata Katsuie, Takenaka Shigeharu | Use as candidates to inspect if they are in your roster, not as a prescribed five-character team or an official developer ranking. |
The list is a third-party editorial ranking, not an official rating. Its date and version matter: rankings can change, and a tier placement cannot account for your Huntresses’ development, their skills together, or the stage opponent. Consult the Pocket Gamer tier list and select its PvE ranking when evaluating campaign candidates—not its PvP or boss lists.

What should I change when campaign progress stalls?
Idle Huntress: Girl’s Land has multiple gameplay modes, and its Google Play listing suggests recruiting Huntresses when stuck. The community-maintained Main Plot page describes stage progression, idle chest rewards, and stage unlocks; its specific mechanics and thresholds may lag behind patches, so check your current game client before relying on them. Google Play listing; community Main Plot page.
For a team adjustment, identify what is failing rather than changing everyone at once: a fragile frontline points to durability or support; slow progress against groups may call for area damage; a priority enemy that survives too long may call for stronger single-target damage or a useful control effect. Then inspect skills, adjust formation or one Huntress, and try the stage again. This makes it easier to tell whether the change addressed the problem.
