Here, “8K” means an 8,000 Hz peripheral report rate—not 8K screen resolution. Telink says its technology supports that rate in premium devices, but the event coverage does not identify a retail mouse or keyboard launched with the chip, and the available sources do not independently verify performance.
What Telink showed at CES 2026
EE Times reported on January 21, 2026, that Telink highlighted the dual-core TL322X SoC in a low-power 8K wireless gaming demonstration involving peripherals such as keyboards and mice. The report described five demonstrations in all:
- Edge AI noise reduction
- Low-power 8K wireless gaming
- One-to-four Bluetooth Channel Sounding
- Auracast synchronized audio
- “Always listening” smart remotes
The wider showcase also covered communications, smart home, entertainment, and collaborative devices. Gaming was one part of a broader technology presentation, not the announcement of a single finished gaming product. EE Times’ CES 2026 report describes the event and demos.
What “8K” means for a wireless gaming peripheral
For a mouse or keyboard, an 8,000 Hz report rate means the device can report input data up to 8,000 times per second. It does not refer to the resolution of a display or video signal. At that rate, the interval between reports is 0.125 milliseconds, but that interval alone is not a measurement of how long a click or movement takes to appear in a game.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Telink’s wireless gaming mouse page attributes mass production of 8K report rates for premium devices to its proprietary HDT technology. The same page claims 2.4 GHz wireless latency below 1 ms and says it matches wired performance. These are manufacturer claims: the page does not provide a test protocol or independent validation, and the CES coverage does not report a game-level latency test.
Why report rate is not the same as total input delay
Report rate describes how often a peripheral sends updates. Total input delay includes more than the time between those updates: it can also involve the device’s sensor and firmware, the wireless link, the computer’s input handling, and the game’s processing and display pipeline. The sources reviewed do not quantify that full path for Telink’s demonstration.

- MODERNIZED DESIGN — Experience the modernized design of the XBOX Wireless Controller with sculpted surfaces and updated geometry that enhances comfort and control during long gaming sessions.
- PRECISION PERFORMANCE — Stay on target with a hybrid D-pad and textured grips on triggers, bumpers, and back case for improved accuracy and handling.
- SHARE BUTTON: Seamlessly capture and share content such as screenshots, recordings, and more with the new Share button.
- VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY — Connect via USB-C for plug-and-play on console and PC, or quickly pair and switch between supported devices with XBOX Wireless and Bluetooth support.
- BUILT-IN AUDIO SUPPORT — Plug in compatible headsets using the 3.5mm audio jack for direct voice chat and immersive in-game sound.
So an 8K report rate does not, by itself, establish that every player will perceive a difference or gain a competitive advantage. A product comparison would also need measured end-to-end latency, stable reporting under real use, connection reliability in a busy 2.4 GHz environment, battery life at the selected rate, compatibility, and price. The available CES and Telink materials do not supply comparative results for those factors.
What the TL322X platform supports—and what CES does not establish
Telink’s TL322x Series product page describes the listed variants as dual-core RISC-V SoCs and lists Bluetooth 6.1 for those variants. It also describes BLE, Zigbee, RF4CE, Thread, Matter, and proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols as capabilities of the series. Those are family-level specifications; they do not establish which protocol or combination of protocols was used in the gaming demonstration.

- Multi-Platform PC Gaming Controller: Working with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS devices via Bluetooth, wired, and wireless dongle connections.
- Hall Effect Joysticks: Delivering enhanced recentering performance for smoother control and superior anti-drift capability. Plus, with anti-friction rings.
- 2-Way Trigger Lock: With trigger stops, gamers can toggle between short and long pull positions. Additionally, gamers can activate hair trigger mode by pressing M+LT/RT (triggers must be in the long pull position).
- 1000Hz Polling Rate: This ensures that your inputs are registered almost instantaneously, minimizing lag and maximizing your performance during competitive play.
- Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
Telink’s application pages present gaming mice, keyboards, and controllers as target categories. The keyboard page discusses low-latency input and multi-protocol connectivity, while the controller page lists 8K reporting among its stated solution advantages. These pages show the intended application scope, not independently tested product performance.
The mouse page lists a TL322X evaluation board for development. Neither the EE Times event coverage nor the reviewed Telink product pages names a consumer mouse or keyboard launched at CES as a device using the demonstration chip. A finished peripheral using the platform would need its own product announcement and testing before its performance could be assessed.

What to look for in a finished 8K wireless mouse
If a retail product later advertises Telink’s technology, the useful questions go beyond the headline rate:
- Does testing confirm the report rate is stable during ordinary play, rather than merely available as a setting?
- What is the measured end-to-end input delay, and how was it measured?
- How does the wireless connection behave in a crowded 2.4 GHz environment?
- How much battery life does the mouse deliver at the chosen report rate?
- Which operating systems, games, and connection modes are supported, and what does the product cost?
Those results would help distinguish a component capability from a benefit a player can reliably use. The CES demonstration establishes that Telink presented the technology; it does not answer those retail-product questions.
