DeVonta Smith is the Eagles receiver with the strongest established case for fantasy consideration in the early 2026 season: Philadelphia’s camp preview calls him the roster’s most productive receiver, and NFL.com lists 13 catches for 170 yards through two games. That is a small sample, not a season-long projection. Smith was listed with a hamstring designation on Philadelphia’s October 2 injury report, so check his latest status before setting a lineup.
How Smith compares with Philadelphia’s receivers
The Eagles’ receiving group changed in the offseason. Philadelphia’s July 8, 2026 training-camp position preview says A.J. Brown departed for New England and identifies Smith as the most productive receiver on the roster. Brown is therefore not a current Eagles teammate in this comparison.
The team’s official depth chart lists Smith first at one receiver position, Makai Lemon first at another, and Dontayvion Wicks first at a third. Philadelphia labels the chart unofficial; it shows listed ordering, not a guaranteed target share, playing-time total, or fantasy ranking.
| Receiver | What is established | Fantasy takeaway |
|---|---|---|
| DeVonta Smith | The Eagles’ 2026 camp preview calls him the roster’s most productive receiver. He is first-listed at one receiver position on the team chart. NFL.com lists 13 receptions and 170 receiving yards through two games in 2026. Philadelphia’s October 2 injury report listed a hamstring designation. | The best-supported Eagles wide-receiver option in this comparison, but assess his current availability and keep the two-game sample in perspective. |
| Makai Lemon | A 2026 first-round selection, listed first at one receiver position on the Eagles chart. | A significant role and target-competition variable. The chart does not establish a dependable fantasy floor or usage share. |
| Dontayvion Wicks | First-listed at one receiver position on the Eagles chart. | A competing option, but the cited information does not establish his current target share or fantasy rank. |
| Marquise “Hollywood” Brown | Listed behind Smith at one receiver position and included in the current receiving group. | Available evidence here is insufficient to rank him numerically against Smith. |
| Elijah Moore | Listed behind Lemon at one receiver position. | A roster competitor; a statistical comparison with Smith is not established here. |
| A.J. Brown | Philadelphia’s July 2026 preview says he left for New England. | Not a current Eagles teammate or part of the 2026 Philadelphia receiver comparison. |
What Smith’s early-season numbers tell you
NFL.com’s career statistics page lists Smith with 13 receptions and 170 receiving yards through two games in 2026. Those figures describe the opening two-game sample only; they do not establish a stable pace, target share, weekly floor, or rest-of-season projection.

Philadelphia’s team statistics page is the relevant live source for checking how the other Eagles receivers are producing as the season develops. A meaningful fantasy comparison should use same-period teammate results and actual usage, not depth-chart order alone. The available figures do not provide a complete same-week statistical comparison across the receiving group.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you start DeVonta Smith this week?
- Check availability first. The October 2, 2026 Eagles injury report listed Smith with a hamstring designation. Consult the newest report and his final game status; an older designation cannot establish whether he will play this week.
- Then weigh his production in context. His 13 catches and 170 yards came across two games, which is useful early evidence but too short a sample to settle his outlook.
- Compare current role and usage. Smith has the clearest established lead-role evidence in Philadelphia’s team materials, while Lemon and Wicks are also first-listed at receiver positions. Look for actual targets and production as the season progresses rather than assuming Smith inherits every opportunity associated with Brown’s departure.
The available evidence supports treating Smith as the leading Eagles receiver to evaluate, not assigning him a precise weekly rank, target percentage, floor, ceiling, or rest-of-season forecast. Those comparisons require current availability and comparable teammate usage data.
