No confirmed announcement ties a Killzone remake to PlayStation 6 or says it will use Decima. September 2026 reports, citing MP1st, describe a possible Killzone remake or remaster in very early development, but Sony has not announced a new game. Its target installment, platform, release timing and engine remain unknown.
What has actually been reported?
Gadgets 360 and Video Games Chronicle reported on September 7, 2026, that MP1st had described a possible new Killzone project in very early production. The reports characterize it as a remake or remaster of an older game; neither identifies which installment. Gadgets 360’s report says Sony has not announced a new Killzone game, while VGC’s coverage notes that identifying the original 2004 game as the target is speculation.
That is a report about a possible project, not confirmation of a product or Sony launch plan. The coverage does not establish that the game is for PS6, much less that it will launch alongside the console.
Is it a PS6 launch game?
No reviewed report confirms PlayStation 6 as a platform, gives a release date, or says the project is planned as a console launch title. Those details should be treated as unconfirmed rather than inferred from the rumored project’s association with Sony or Guerrilla.

Would it use the Decima Engine?
Guerrilla’s official Decima page lists Killzone among games powered by the engine. That establishes a general connection between the franchise and Decima, but it does not confirm that this reported project exists, will use Decima, or will use a modern version of the engine.
Guerrilla’s official newsfeed, checked October 4, 2026, contains no announcement of the alleged PS6 Killzone project. The available official material therefore does not settle the rumored game’s engine or version.

Which Killzone game might be involved?
The target is unidentified. VGC says the idea that it could be a remake of the original 2004 game is speculation, not a confirmed detail. The September reports do not resolve whether the project would remake one game, remaster an existing release, or take another form.
Killzone: Shadow Fall remains useful franchise context: Gadgets 360 identifies it as the latest released entry and a 2013 PS4 launch title. It is an existing game, not the rumored remake or a PS6 product.

What is known—and what remains open?
- Reported: MP1st described a possible Killzone remake or remaster in very early production, according to September 7, 2026 coverage.
- Not announced by Sony in that coverage: a new Killzone game.
- Not confirmed: the target installment, remake-versus-remaster format, PS6 platform, launch timing, developer credits, or engine version.
- Established separately: Guerrilla lists Killzone among Decima-powered titles, without connecting that engine claim to the reported project.
Gadgets 360 also discusses a possible People Can Fly connection as an inference from a separate Sony agreement for a game based on Sony IP; it does not establish that studio as a developer of the Killzone project.
