A Reddit post dated October 4, 2026 says the card appeared in Suneast marketing and was not yet available to buy. Nintendo’s capacity limit makes a 2TB card compatible in principle if it meets the microSD Express standard; it does not confirm that particular product or guarantee it can hold 100 or more games.
What the 2TB Suneast card report establishes
The claim comes from a Reddit post dated October 4, 2026, whose author says a Suneast 2TB microSD Express card appeared in official marketing and was not yet for sale. That is a community report, not confirmation from Suneast. No manufacturer product page or announcement, specification sheet, SKU, price, purchase listing, or release date for this model is established by the available sources.
So the careful answer is: the reported card may fit Nintendo’s stated capacity ceiling, but its existence as a verified product and its availability remain unconfirmed. Nintendo’s support for cards up to 2TB is a general compatibility rule, not an endorsement or confirmation of any particular card.
Will a 2TB microSD Express card work with Switch 2?
Yes, if it is a genuine microSD Express card and its capacity does not exceed 2TB. Nintendo’s compatibility guidance says Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards up to 2TB. Nintendo’s microSD Express FAQ states: “Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards.”

- Nintendo Switch 2 uses a new standard of expandable memory card called microSD Express (sold separately). This kind of memory card is needed for faster access speeds and to ensure games will run smoothly.
- Please note: Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards. If the microSD cards you have used for Nintendo Switch do not support microSD Express standards, you cannot use them with Nintendo Switch 2.
The format is important: a standard microSD card used with the original Nintendo Switch will not provide game storage on Switch 2. Nintendo also says an internet system update is required the first time a microSD Express card is used.
What can the card store, and how many games fit?
Nintendo Switch 2 has 256GB of internal storage, according to Nintendo’s 2025 launch release. A compatible expansion card adds storage for game data, screenshots, and videos. Save data cannot be saved or copied to a microSD Express card; Nintendo explains this in its data management FAQ.

“100+ games” is not a guaranteed capacity figure. Game file sizes differ, and a meaningful estimate would need to identify the games, account for updates and downloadable content, and clarify whether it counts card storage alone or the console’s internal storage too. Nintendo states supported capacity, not a game count; the available sources do not establish a universal published statistic backing the 100+ claim.
