The claim that a forgotten PS2 game is now available on PS5 for $2.39 cannot be confirmed from the available evidence. No specific game, current PlayStation Store listing, region, or dollar price has been verified, so the headline should not be treated as a confirmed deal.
What is—and is not—confirmed
The headline does not name the game. Without an identified title and a current official PlayStation Store page, it is not possible to confirm that a particular PS2 game is available on PS5 or costs $2.39.

- Game identity: not established.
- PS5 availability: not established. A game described as playable on PS5 could be a native PS5 release, a PS4 release running through backward compatibility, or an emulated PS2 Classics release; the headline does not say which.
- Price and region: not established. A price in one country or currency would not confirm a $2.39 listing elsewhere.
- What the purchase includes: not established. There is no confirmed listing to show whether it is a full game or another type of content, or when any offer ends.
Why the $2.39 figure is not proof
A ResetEra discussion from a 2024 European PlayStation Store sale mentions XIII, a PS5 version, and a £2.39 purchase. That older, user-generated post is not evidence that XIII is the game meant by this headline, and pounds are not dollars. Read the ResetEra sale discussion.

What would verify the deal
Confirmation requires the game’s name and a current official PlayStation Store listing for the reader’s region. That page should establish the platform and version, the currency and current price, the offer’s end date if discounted, and what the purchase includes. Until those details are available, the $2.39 claim remains unverified.
