How it differs from the Year Two digital bundle
| Option | Format and platform | Included content | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year One Edition | Physical; the available report does not specify platform-by-platform details. | Reported reversible cover sheet and 35th anniversary logo patch; see Nintendo Life’s October 9, 2026 report. | Retailer availability, price, and release details are not established here. |
| Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition | Digital Nintendo Switch listing on Nintendo’s US store. | Base game and Season Pass Two. | It includes the base game, so Nintendo cautions that owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition should avoid buying it if doing so would duplicate content. |
Nintendo’s US listing for the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition gives an October 9, 2026 release date. It lists single-system play for 1–4 players, local wireless for 2–8, and online play for 2–12; Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for online play.
