To complete Shani’s “A Lay of the Land” quest, find the shipping notes at Jiangsu Warehouse, collect a LiDAR Scanner from Control Tower A6, then extract with the scanner—all in one round. The quest follows “A Reveal in Ruins” and takes place on Spaceport.
Quest objectives and one-round condition
All listed objectives have to be completed in one round. The scanner is a quest item you must carry out of the raid; finding it alone does not complete the task.

- Reach Jiangsu Warehouse.
- Find the shipping notes in the foreman’s office.
- Locate the LiDAR Scanners on Control Tower A6’s upper floor.
- Deliver one LiDAR Scanner to Shani.

Jiangsu Warehouse is in the northwest of Spaceport. Go to the second floor and look in the foreman’s office, which overlooks the sand-filled storage area. The shipping notes are on a desk there. PC Gamer’s walkthrough describes the notes’ location.

Find the LiDAR Scanner at Control Tower A6
Control Tower A6 is near the middle of Spaceport. The objective is in a small box behind divider walls in the second-floor area—not at the tower’s topmost floor. PC Gamer and GameSpot both place it in this area.
Route through the tower
- Enter through the main entrance and go left past the statue.
- Take the staircase behind the door, then exit onto the second floor.
- Turn right, then right again past the zipline to reach the divider walls and objective box.
- Interact with the box. Pick up the LiDAR Scanner it drops and keep it in your inventory.
GameSpot describes entering from the front-left side, going through the door ahead, taking the stairs, and turning right twice toward a cubicle. The routes point to the same second-floor objective area; follow the visible in-game layout if the tower has changed in an update.
Extract with the scanner and return to Shani
After picking up the scanner, extract from Spaceport with it, then return to Shani in Speranza to deliver it and complete the quest. GameSpot notes that a safe-pocket augment can protect the scanner from being lost if you die before extraction.

Quest rewards
Completing the quest rewards one Dam Testing Annex Key, three Ziplines, and two Smoke Grenades. The quantities are listed by both the ARC Raiders Wiki and MetaForge.

The ARC Raiders Wiki lists “A Reveal in Ruins” as the preceding quest and transcribes Shani’s briefing as: “The foreman worked at the Jiangsu Warehouse, in the northwest of the Spaceport. See what you can find about a shipment of LiDAR scanners.” This is a community wiki transcript of in-game dialogue.
