What is the sequel about?
A detailed official plot synopsis has not been released in the updates reviewed. The first film provides context, but not confirmation of the sequel’s story: Legendary describes A Minecraft Movie as the first live-action big-screen adaptation of Minecraft. Released April 4, 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. and directed by Hess, it follows four misfits transported to the Overworld, where they encounter Steve and try to get home. That premise does not establish what happens in the sequel.
