Accel World VS Sword Art Online is best suited to fans of either series who want a crossover action RPG built around a three-character team and aerial combat. Bandai Namco’s crossover brings characters from Accel World and Sword Art Online together in an original story involving Svart Alfheim and the Accelerated World. Platforms, release, and online play
Bandai Namco announced an Americas digital release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on July 7, 2017. Its announcement also described a limited-time launch edition with the Ordinal Scale and SAO Origins DLC packs. The US PlayStation Store listing is for the PS4 game, supports optional online multiplayer, and says PS Plus is required for online play. Online play is not required for solo play. Did this not get a physical release in the US?
Bandai Namco’s Americas launch announcement described a digital release, but a GameFAQs community user says they own a PS4 disc. That anecdote does not establish which disc edition it is, whether it was a US retail release, or whether copies are currently available.
