Publisher Dotemu announced October 9, 2025, as the release date for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 versions. What kind of game is Absolum?
Absolum is a fantasy beat ’em up with roguelite elements, set in Talamh after a magical cataclysm. In the game’s premise, Sun King Azra exploits distrust of magic to enslave wizards and conquer the realms. Players fight with brawling attacks and spells through branching routes, quests, and boss encounters, while replayable runs and permanent warrior upgrades give the adventure a longer progression arc. - A NEW BEGINNING - The previous English localizations from the 90s did not follow the story from the original Japanese trilogy. This time, Rushing Beat Ran: Fukusei Toshi and Rushing Beat Shura are woven together into a single coherent tale.
Does Absolum support co-op?
Dotemu describes Absolum as a one-to-two-player game. The Steam listing specifies single-player, online co-op, and shared/split-screen co-op for PC. The U.S. Xbox listing specifies local and online two-player co-op and cross-platform co-op. Those storefront details are platform-specific; do not assume identical co-op options on every edition. What are the PC system requirements?
