Abyss Points (AP) are an in-game progression currency in Aion 2. You earn them through a mix of Abyss combat, quests and missions, rifts, arenas, sieges, events, and resource-based Supply Requests, then spend them in the Abyss Store on equipment and other progression items. You do not need to fight other players for every AP route. Because rewards, caps, and even death penalties can differ between Korea, Taiwan, Global, and later patches, use the values and rules shown by your own client rather than treating a guide’s regional example as universal.
What are Abyss Points in Aion 2?
Abyss Points are a game currency tied to Abyss progression. They have no real-world cash value and are not a substitute for any premium currency. Your AP balance is used inside Aion 2 to obtain progression goods from the Abyss Store, including equipment and other items listed by your service’s current shop.

AP should also be distinguished from rank points. A service can use both systems at once: AP is a spendable balance, while rank points can determine standing or progression in an Abyss ranking system. A death rule that changes rank points does not automatically mean that the AP in your wallet was removed.

The practical answer is to rotate through the activities currently listed on your in-game activity or Abyss boards. Recent player guides describe the following routes, but they do not establish identical rewards or availability for every service region and patch.

This is a route map, not a promise that every listed activity pays the same amount. There is no verified cross-region efficiency ranking. A route that appears fastest in one guide may be unavailable, capped, or rewarded differently after a regional update.
A reliable daily routine
- Open the current Abyss, mission, event, and Supply Request panels before spending stamina, entries, or materials.
- Mark activities that show an AP reward and note whether they are repeatable, scheduled, or limited by a weekly or seasonal counter.
- Complete no-risk PvE objectives first if you want to avoid unnecessary player combat.
- Use scheduled arenas or sieges only when their participation rules and reward preview are visible in your client.
- Submit eligible resources through Supply Requests after checking which request track is available and when it refreshes.
- Reopen the AP or Abyss Store panel to verify that the balance increased; a completed objective can award a different currency or rank progress instead.
Can I earn Abyss Points without PvP?
Yes. Supply Requests are the clearest non-PvP route: you exchange resources you have accumulated for AP instead of defeating another player. Guides also list missions, rifts, arenas, events, and monster encounters as possible sources, although an individual activity may include competitive rules or a mixed queue.
Before committing materials, inspect the request’s reward preview, required quantities, and refresh indicator. Supply Request tracks do not all refresh on the same schedule. The exact intervals and AP payouts are not established as universal numbers, so follow the timer and eligibility text in your own client. This prevents wasting resources on a request that is unavailable in your service or has already reached its allowance.

If you want a strictly PvE plan, prioritize monster objectives, missions whose descriptions contain no player-combat requirement, rifts marked as PvE, events with noncombat objectives, and Supply Requests. Keep in mind that a game’s broader Abyss progression may still display PvP rankings or rank-point systems even when your AP income is entirely PvE.
What can I spend Abyss Points on?
Spend AP in the Abyss Store. Its inventory is made of in-game progression goods rather than cash-out items. Equipment and other upgrade-related items are documented uses. A recent regional guide specifically lists Stigma Shards and additional shop goods, but that inventory, its prices, and purchase limits should be treated as examples for that service and patch—not as a universal catalog.
How to make a purchase
- Open the Abyss or currency menu from the main interface.
- Select Abyss Store and check that the displayed currency is AP, not a separate token.
- Read the item’s purchase limit, reset timing, character or account restriction, and any class or level requirement.
- Compare the AP price with your intended progression milestone. If the item is bound or consumable, confirm that before buying.
- Confirm the transaction and check both your AP balance and inventory.
Do not assume that a shop item seen in a Korean or Taiwan guide appears in Global, or that a listed price survived a balance update. The live store is the authoritative list for your character.

What is the Abyss Point weekly limit?
There is no single, verified numerical AP cap that can be stated for every Aion 2 service from the available official and guide material. Guide coverage discusses weekly and seasonal maximums and notes that Global rules or values were not published in that coverage. NCsoft’s Season 2 roadmap also identified changes to Abyss acquisition limits, confirming that caps can be revised, but the roadmap does not provide one universal number.
Use the limit indicator in your client as the operational answer. Depending on the service, the counter may be shown in the Abyss interface, an activity reward panel, or the currency/store screen. Record whether the indicator is a weekly, seasonal, activity-specific, character, or account limit; these are different counters.
How to check your current limit
- Open the Abyss progression screen and look for an AP acquisition, allowance, or remaining-reward counter.
- Open each activity that awards AP and read its own reset or participation text.
- Check the Supply Request track separately because its refresh schedule may not match the weekly AP allowance.
- Look at the season or event panel for a second, longer-duration maximum.
- When a patch or regional notice changes acquisition rules, recheck all counters before planning a farming route.
Do not add together a weekly figure from one region and a seasonal figure from another. If your client does not expose a number, treat the cap as undisclosed rather than substituting a value from an older guide.

Do I lose Abyss Points when I die?
The answer is service- and patch-specific. A guide covering the Korean service reports that a PvP death reduces rank points rather than the AP balance. That evidence does not establish the same rule for Global, Taiwan, or future versions.
After a death, compare the AP total before and after the defeat and inspect the death or combat-log notice. If the message mentions rank points, ranking, or standing, it is describing a separate progression value. If your client explicitly shows an AP deduction, follow that current regional rule and report it through the game’s support channel if the amount appears incorrect.

Before entering risky content
- Take a screenshot or note of your AP balance if you are testing an unfamiliar rule.
- Read the zone, arena, siege, or event death notice for the current mode.
- Do not infer a wallet loss from a lower rank position or a changed leaderboard total.
- Recheck after a major patch because death and ranking rules can be revised independently.
How should I choose between AP-earning routes?
Choose by the constraints that matter to your character, not by an unverified claim that one activity is always best. The useful comparison questions are whether the route exposes you to PvP, consumes stored materials, has a time or weekly allowance, and is explicitly documented for your service.

Because exact payouts are not consistently published across services, measure a route using the counters and reward previews in your own version. A route is only “best” for you if it is available, fits your time and materials, and still has AP allowance remaining.
Common mistakes and fixes
Assuming every Abyss activity pays AP
Some objectives award rank progress, event tokens, experience, or materials instead. Read the reward line before starting and verify the balance afterward.
Using a regional guide as a universal rulebook
Korea, Taiwan, and Global can have different inventories, limits, and death rules. Identify the service and patch covered by any guide, then give priority to your client and current regional notices.

A request track’s refresh timer is not necessarily the weekly or seasonal AP maximum. Record each timer separately.
Spending materials without checking the request track
Supply Requests consume accumulated resources. Confirm the AP reward, required quantities, and remaining availability before submitting.
Reading a rank-point loss as an AP loss
Inspect the currency total and the death message independently. The Korean-service example distinguishes rank points from AP; another service may differ.
