1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFirst identify the lock by its room and nearby landmark, then use the combination tied to that exact location. Hellraiser: Revival guides use inconsistent names for cabinets, lockers, safes and doors, so a code that is correct elsewhere can appear “wrong” at your keypad.
The early cabinet beside the painting plaques is the one documented exception: third-party guides disagree between two combinations. The location table below preserves that conflict instead of treating it as a confirmed platform, difficulty or version difference.

Start by identifying the exact lock
Do not begin by searching for a generic “Hellraiser: Revival keypad code.” Several locks are described with different labels depending on the guide. One writer may call an object a cabinet, another a cupboard or locker, and a door may be listed alongside safes because the same kind of combination input opens it. Match what you can see in the game rather than relying on the object name used by a walkthrough.

Record three landmarks
- Room or area: note whether you are in the painting hallway, basement medical room, graveyard cabin, club, private rooms, factory, laundry area, operating-theater break room or sewer.
- Nearby object: identify paintings, a medical-room layout, a music setup, a snake-room display, a blue door, videotape equipment or another distinctive landmark.
- Route position: remember what objective or story section you were completing when you reached the lock. This helps distinguish rooms that guides describe with similar names.
Once those details match, use the corresponding row in the route-order list. Do not reuse a combination simply because another keypad accepted it earlier.

All reported combinations, matched to location
The following list comes from a launch-coverage roundup of ten keypad, locker and safe combinations. It is a third-party reference, not an official publisher-issued list. Use the landmark and the local clue as a second check.
| Lock landmark | Reported combination | Verification note |
|---|---|---|
| Painting hallway or red hallway cabinet | 9901; alternative report 0199 | Insider Gaming reports 9901. PowerPyx reports 0199 and 9901. The reason for the disagreement has not been verified through gameplay. |
| Basement medical-room cabinet | 9891 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Graveyard cabin safe | 9606 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Bruno’s music-room cabinet | 1966 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Club snake-room cabinet | 1952 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Private Rooms cabinet | 1923 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Cult compound or factory blue door | 1362 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Videotape or laundry-room cabinet | 8571 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Operating-theater or break-room cabinet | 2342 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
| Sewer cabinet | 1512 | Reported in the launch-coverage list. |
Because the list comes from coverage rather than an official game manual, treat it as a location guide. If your surroundings do not match the row, stop and identify the lock again before trying more digits.
How to use the route-order list
“Route order” means the sequence in which the roundup presents the locks, not a guarantee that every player reaches them at exactly the same moment. Use it to narrow your search after you identify the room, never as a substitute for identifying the room. For example, 9891 belongs to the basement medical-room cabinet; it is not a backup for the painting-hallway cabinet simply because both appear early in a playthrough. Likewise, 1362 is tied to the cult-compound or factory blue door, while 8571 belongs to the videotape or laundry-room cabinet. Similar-looking metal doors or storage furniture are not enough to transfer a code from one row to another.

The table also intentionally combines guide terminology. “Operating theater” and “break room,” for instance, are paired because the reports associate those names with the same listed combination. Read the landmark column together with your current objective and nearby props. If only the generic object type matches but the room or story context does not, keep looking rather than forcing the entry.
The first painting-hallway cabinet: 9901 or 0199?
The cabinet beside the painting plaques is the source of the most common “code does not work” report. Insider Gaming gives 9901. PowerPyx lists 0199 as an alternative and also gives 9901. A separate launch-coverage code list records both values and says the cause of the conflict was not verified through gameplay.
That means the disagreement cannot currently be attributed to a particular console, difficulty setting, regional release or game version. There is no evidence here that one number is a confirmed platform-specific variant. If the first value is rejected, compare the cabinet and plaques carefully, then try the other reported value for that same lock. Keep the two combinations tied only to this painting-hallway cabinet; they are not substitutes for codes in other rooms.

Use the plaque clue as a cross-check
Insider Gaming explains that abbreviated dates on the nearby painting plaques produce the hallway combination. Read the plaques at the cabinet instead of relying solely on a copied number. This can reveal that you are looking at a different hallway object, or that a digit was transcribed incorrectly. The published accounts do not establish why the two reported values differ, so the clue is the best available way to confirm that you are solving the intended lock.

Follow these checks in order. They separate a location mix-up from an unresolved discrepancy without assuming that the game is malfunctioning.
- Leave the keypad view mentally and map the room. Note the room name used by your objective, the landmark beside the lock and the direction from which you entered. Guides can use different labels for the same object.
- Match the landmark to one row in the table. Select only the combination associated with that location. A code from the basement medical room, for example, should not be tested at a cabinet in the club.
- Inspect the clue at that lock. For the painting hallway, read the abbreviated dates on the plaques. Other entries in the roundup are likewise associated with their own room-specific clues; use the objects immediately around the lock to confirm the match.
- Enter the digits exactly as reported. Check each position before confirming. The available material does not document a Revival-specific input-reset sequence, so do not assume that a particular button pattern clears a partial entry.
- If you are at the painting-hallway cabinet, test the alternate report. This is the only listed lock with a documented disagreement. Try the two published values for that cabinet while keeping the plaque clue in view.
- Stop when the combination is not listed or remains rejected. At that point the available guides do not establish a universal fix. Record the room, landmark, story objective and the exact value you entered before seeking further help.
Check the number format before confirming
Enter all four positions exactly, including a leading zero. The alternative hallway report is 0199, not 199; dropping the first digit creates a different entry. Compare the digits left to right with your notes, especially when a guide uses a compact table or a screenshot where 6, 8 and 9 can be difficult to distinguish. Do not assume that a keypad accepts fewer than four positions or silently fills a missing digit; no Revival-specific behavior of that kind is established here.
Why a correct-looking code can fail
You are at a different lock than the guide means
“Red hallway,” “painting hallway” and “hallway cabinet” may refer to the same early area, but similar shorthand can also send you to the wrong object. The ten reported entries cover several cabinets and doors across the route. Confirm the physical landmark, not just a search result’s heading.
The guide’s object label does not match the game
Walkthroughs warn that they vary between cupboard, locker, cabinet, safe and door. A guide’s terminology is not proof that every object with that label shares one combination. Use the room and surrounding clue as the primary identifiers.

The 9901/0199 disagreement is documented by multiple launch-era guides, but its cause is unresolved. Do not infer that it represents a console or difficulty rule. Treat both values as reported possibilities only for the painting-hallway cabinet.

A manual for another Hellraiser game is being applied
One search result describes keypad controls for a different Hellraiser title. Those controls do not verify how Hellraiser: Revival handles rejected entries, and they should not be used as Revival troubleshooting instructions.
What is not established about rejected entries
The available Revival-specific material does not provide an official procedure for clearing a failed attempt, resetting a keypad, or correcting a lock through a particular menu, button press, checkpoint reload or restart. It also does not establish a universal platform or version fix, or confirm that a rejected combination is a game bug.
Accordingly, avoid presenting generic restart advice as a proven solution. If you choose to retry from a checkpoint as a personal troubleshooting step, treat the result as unconfirmed rather than as a documented fix. The same caution applies to claims that changing difficulty, reinstalling, switching controllers or using a different edition resolves the keypad.

For an unlisted lock or a value that remains rejected after the location and clue have been checked, preserve the details needed to reproduce the issue:
- the exact room and story objective;
- the landmark immediately beside the keypad;
- the guide label you were following;
- the combination entered, including leading zeroes such as the first digit in 0199;
- whether the lock accepted the input, ignored it or displayed another response.
A support contact page appears in search results, but the available listing does not contain a confirmed Hellraiser: Revival keypad remedy. Use it only as a route to report an unresolved case, not as evidence that it supplies a specific code or reset instruction.

- Am I standing at the same landmark named by the code list?
- Have I distinguished a cabinet, safe or blue door from another nearby lock?
- Does the room-specific clue support the row I selected?
- If this is the painting hallway, have I accounted for both published reports rather than assuming a platform difference?
- Have I kept leading zeroes and checked every digit before confirming?
- If the code is still rejected, have I recorded the location and entered value instead of treating an unverified reset as fact?
The safest interpretation of a failed keypad entry is usually a location mismatch, except at the first painting-hallway cabinet where published guides genuinely disagree. Match the room, landmark and clue first; only then treat a remaining rejection as unresolved rather than inventing a universal fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the first Hellraiser: Revival keypad code?
For the painting-hallway cabinet beside the plaques, Insider Gaming reports 9901. PowerPyx also reports 0199, so both values should be retained as published possibilities for that specific lock.
Is 0199 or 9901 correct?
The guides do not resolve the disagreement through verified gameplay. Check the painting plaques and try the two reported values only at that cabinet; there is no confirmed console, difficulty or version explanation.
Can I use 9901 at another cabinet?
No. The combinations are location-specific. Match the room, landmark and nearby clue before selecting a number from the table.
What if my code is rejected after I check the location?
Record the room, objective, landmark, guide label and exact four-digit entry, including any leading zero. The published material does not establish a universal reset, restart or platform fix.
Do the listed codes come from an official game manual?
No. The ten combinations come from third-party launch coverage. Use them as location references and cross-check each one against the in-game surroundings.
The Bottom Line
Identify the exact room and landmark first, preserve leading zeroes, and match the nearby clue to the corresponding combination. For the painting-hallway cabinet, 9901 and 0199 are both reported and the reason for the conflict remains unverified; for every other lock, do not borrow a code from another location. If a correctly matched entry still fails, document the details rather than treating an unproven reset or platform fix as fact.
