How do you unlock AJ Lee?
The SmackDown Hotel’s roster listing reports that the base AJ Lee character is unlocked through 2K Showcase: What If Match #7. This is a specialist roster-database listing; 2K’s announcement confirms that she is in the game, but does not state this unlock route. See the roster listing.

Why is WWE 2K26 her first WWE game appearance since 2014?
The relevant gap begins with WWE 2K15, released in 2014, which the reviewed game listings identify as AJ Lee’s previous WWE game appearance before WWE 2K26. She had appeared in earlier main-series games, including WWE ’13—listed as her main-series debut—and WWE 2K14. So “first appearance since 2014” is accurate; “first video game appearance” is not.
A 2026 report by SEScoops also describes WWE 2K15 as her prior WWE video game appearance and says she was scanned for WWE 2K26. The report reproduces wording attributed to her social media, but that original post is not independently confirmed here, so the scan detail is best treated as a reported account rather than a direct verified quote. Where can you play WWE 2K26?
