Some specific Alaskan Road Truckers crashes on PC have documented fixes, but the official patch notes do not say that all PC crashing is fixed. Patch 1.6 addressed a crash involving Eagle One and Conveyor interactions, and an October 2023 update prevented a potential Navigation System crash. If you are still crashing, the official guidance is to report what happened, what you were doing beforehand, your PC specifications, and the full error text if available.
Which PC crashes have been fixed?
The documented fixes apply to specific issues rather than every possible crash:
- Eagle One and Conveyor interaction: Patch 1.6 says it addressed a crash related to these interactions. The note does not establish that unrelated crashes were fixed. Official patch announcement
- Navigation System: The October 20, 2023 PC update archive says it prevented a potential Navigation System crash. Official update archive
These are issue-specific fixes. The official materials reviewed do not confirm that PC crashing as a whole has been eliminated.
Do performance patches fix crashing?
Not necessarily. On June 17, 2025, the developer announced lower memory use and improved frame-rate stability in Prudhoe Bay, Susitna North, Willow, Wasilla, Palmer, and Sutton-Alpine. The announcement explicitly says, “Important Note: This patch specifically addresses only the areas mentioned above.” It describes performance work in those locations, not a universal crash fix. #1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Other announcements also should not be read as general crash fixes: September 2025 notes cover sound and heater/save-loading issues, while the December 5, 2025 announcement describes memory-footprint and asset optimizations, including Valdez. None of these claims establishes that every PC crash is fixed. The June 2025 announcement’s mention of Xbox Series S crashing is console-specific, not evidence about PC crashes. What should you do if the game still crashes?
The developer’s FAQ directs players whose game closes with a crash message to report it through Discord or the Steam Discussion Forum. Include details that can help identify and reproduce the issue:

These sources do not establish a universal fix for an unspecified crash. Without your game version, error text, system details, or steps that reproduce it, a specific diagnosis would be guesswork.

Check the PC requirements, but don’t treat them as a crash remedy
Steam lists these system specifications for the PC version. Meeting them does not guarantee that a particular crash will stop, and the listing does not say that falling below them causes a specific crash.
| Specification | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit | Not stated on the Steam listing |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 5600 or better |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or similar | Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or better |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 11 |
| Storage | 35 GB available space | 35 GB available space |
The Steam listing prefers SSD/NVMe for peak performance and says an HDD may compromise draw distances. It does not claim that an SSD fixes crashes. Steam system requirements

What the older October 2023 troubleshooting advice means
On October 20, 2023, the developer warned that older saves could retain issues after a patch and recommended starting a new save for relevant fixes. The same dated guidance described freezing and black-screen issues when using the HQ PC; for a black screen, it suggested exiting and re-entering the HQ PC while a fix was being worked on. This is historical, issue-specific advice—not confirmation that those problems persist today or a current universal crash workaround. Official update archive · October 20, 2023 announcement
