Epic’s product page identifies Remedy Entertainment Plc as the developer and Epic Games Inc. as the publisher. These listings establish the currently confirmed PC storefront; they do not establish what other stores might carry the game in the future.
Has Remedy ruled out a Steam release?
No. Dot Esports reported on August 4, 2026, that Remedy declined to speculate about a potential Steam release during an April 29, 2026 conference call, saying it could not speculate “at the moment.” The report describes the game as still exclusive to Epic’s storefront for PC players, but that response is not a confirmation of either a Steam port or a permanent decision against one. The passage does not identify a speaker, so it should not be attributed to a named executive. Read Dot Esports’ report.

Does the original Alan Wake being on Steam mean the sequel is there?
No. Steam has a listing for the original Alan Wake, released in 2010. That listing is for a separate game and does not make Alan Wake 2 available on Steam. See the original Alan Wake listing on Steam.

Are there physical or console editions?
Remedy’s FAQ describes physical Deluxe and Collector’s Editions for consoles and says there is no physical PC edition. The physical Deluxe Edition includes the base game, Expansion Pass, Deluxe content, a reversible sleeve, and a digital code for Alan Wake Remastered. The Collector’s Edition, created by Limited Run Games, includes an Angel Lamp replica, an Ocean View Hotel keychain and key, a Coffee World pin set, and an artbook. These are console products, not Steam copies or physical PC releases. Remedy’s FAQ has the edition details.
For a PC purchase, the confirmed storefront is Epic Games Store. For console play, Remedy lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The physical editions are console options; check the platform and current retailer listing before buying, as stock and pricing can vary.
