There are eight Visions of the Traveler in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, one in each of the Pale Heart’s eight named areas. Complete the campaign and unlock the Lost City Tower first, then follow the area-by-area route below. The Seclusion Vision also requires access to the Searing Light Cyst through Micah-10’s Alone in the Dark quest progression, according to guides published in June 2024.
Before you start
- Complete The Final Shape campaign and fully unlock the Lost City Tower destination.
- Use the Lost City columns as clues to the collectible locations.
- For The Seclusion, progress Micah-10’s Alone in the Dark quest until the Searing Light Cyst is available. This prerequisite comes from June 2024 guides and may be affected by later game updates.
The steps below follow the area names and route details reported by GameSpot and Charlie INTEL.
Where to find all eight Visions
1. The Landing
Spawn at The Landing transmat zone, turn left, and head toward the edge. Drop into the small pool beside the building, near the waterfall. The Vision is easy to miss when looking from the spawn point.
2. The Blooming
From The Blooming transmat zone, take the eastern path toward The Seclusion. Near the orange crystal marking the exit, look up into the dead tree. Use the nearby cliff rocks to climb to the Vision.

3. The Impasse
At The Impasse transmat zone, face the northern Pyramid structures. Find the sculpture with a ring on top to their left; the Vision is in the middle of the ring.
4. The Lost City
In the Tower, go to Micah-10’s room and leave through the side door into the earlier campaign area. Follow the red rooftop route to its end, then jump across to the waterfall pool. Look behind the rocks for the Vision.

5. The Refraction
Travel from The Landing into The Refraction and continue to the crystalline caves. Look over the cliff for a creek flowing from an opening in the cliff face. Jump down along the roots, pass through the gap, and search the pool.
6. The Seclusion
First unlock the Searing Light Cyst through Micah-10’s Alone in the Dark quest progression. Enter the Cyst through the waterfall and Hive-rune barrier. Near the gnarled tree, take the hidden opening before entering the large cavern and starting its main combat encounter.

7. The Divide
Climb the mountain to the summit buildings. On the left side, find the satellite dish and check behind it.
8. The Transgression
Travel east from The Impasse and continue through the storm sections. In a later storm area, look left for a large dead tree near the Pyramid columns. The Vision is behind the tree.

If you want to collect them in a single sweep, prioritize the areas that need extra navigation or access before finishing nearby collectibles.

Place the Visions in the Speaker’s chamber
- Return to the Lost City Tower transmat zone.
- Turn left and go beneath the stairs platform to the doorway leading to the Speaker’s chamber.
- Place one Vision on each of the eight pedestals. The 2024 guides report that placing all eight reveals a golden chest.
June 2024 guides also connect the Visions and the chest to the Exotic Khvostov 7G-0X quest. GamesRadar+ says each Vision grants one Mote of Light, and that eight collectible Motes combine with nine from Overthrow to make the Mote of Primordial Light needed for the chest. GameSpot likewise describes additional Overthrow Motes. Because those requirements are guide claims from 2024, check the current in-game quest text if you are collecting Motes specifically for Khvostov.
