This spoiler-forward checklist covers every pickup by map region, with the nearest landmark or Site of Grace and the method needed to collect it. Several locations contain multiple fragments, so the guide has 41 checklist stops but adds up to all 50 fragments.
Important: Scadutree Fragments are the DLC’s secondary progression system. Spend them at a Site of Grace through Shadow Realm Blessing and then Scadutree Blessing to increase your damage and damage negation in the Realm of Shadow. The effect does not carry into the base game areas outside the DLC.

Scadutree Fragments are a finite bolstering material found throughout the Realm of Shadow. At any Site of Grace, choose Shadow Realm Blessing, then select Scadutree Blessing to spend the fragments. Each level improves the damage you deal and reduces the damage you take while you are in the DLC region.
They do not improve your performance in Limgrave, Liurnia, Caelid, or other areas of the base game. They are also separate from Revered Spirit Ashes: Scadutree Fragments strengthen your character in the Realm of Shadow, while Revered Spirit Ashes improve your spectral steed and summoned spirits.

The most reliable visual clues are Miquella’s Crosses, churches, statues of Marika, and shadowy enemies carrying pots. Each of the DLC’s 13 Miquella’s Crosses has one nearby Scadutree Fragment. Pot-carrying shadows can also drop one, but kill them promptly because they can disappear or flee.

Use the checkboxes as a manual completion tracker. The game does not provide a dedicated regional counter for collected Scadutree Fragments, so mark each pickup as soon as you claim it. The labels below use the in-game English names where possible; some guides use alternate names, such as calling the Church of Consolation the Church of Benediction.

Shadow Keep total: 11. The Scadutree Chalice is the largest single pickup cluster in the DLC. Check it before searching every earlier region again if your total is short by several fragments.

In total, the checklist contains 41 map stops. The difference between 41 stops and 50 fragments comes from grouped pickups: Church of Consolation has two, Church of the Crusade has two, the Abandoned Church has two, the Shadow Keep entrance Golden Hippopotamus drops two, the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum-Darklight Catacombs-area hippos drop two, and the Scadutree Chalice has five.
Best way to search the map
- Check Miquella’s Crosses first. They are the clearest landmarks, and each of the 13 crosses has one nearby fragment.
- Clear pot-carrying shadows immediately. Search graveyards, camps, ruins, and the area around Crucible Knight Devonia. If the enemy disappears before you defeat it, revisit the location later rather than assuming the fragment is gone permanently.
- Search churches and Marika statues. Church interiors, the Church District, the Shadow Keep statues, and the Scadutree Chalice account for many of the easy-to-overlook pickups.
- Use Sites of Grace as checkpoints. Spend fragments whenever you return to a Grace so you can see your current Scadutree Blessing level, but keep a separate written or map-based checklist for locations visited.
- Do not count Revered Spirit Ashes. They use a different blessing category and do not contribute to the 50-fragment total.
What to do if your total is 49
Do not assume the missing fragment is a random corpse pickup. Recheck grouped locations first, because missing one grouped reward is the easiest way to miscount:

- Abandoned Church — verify both fragments inside.
- Shadow Keep entrance — verify that the Golden Hippopotamus dropped both.
- The two hippos in the water below the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum, also described as the Darklight Catacombs-area pair — verify both drops.
- Scadutree Chalice — verify all five fragments in front of the chalice.
Next, revisit every Miquella’s Cross on your personal map. Then check the pot-carrying enemies in the Scorched Ruins graveyard, Prospect Town graveyard, southeast of Moorth Ruins, and east-northeast of Crucible Knight Devonia. Finally, compare your notes against the regional totals above rather than relying only on your overall blessing level.
Version note: locations versus blessing values
The collectible placements are fixed, but the exact numbers shown for Scadutree Blessing effects can depend on the game’s calibration. Bandai Namco’s June 24, 2024 calibration update revised the attack and damage-negation curve: the early half of progression became stronger, while the latter half became more gradual. Use this location checklist as stable guidance, but do not copy exact blessing multipliers from an old guide without checking which game version it describes.
