Guaranteed Alpha Pokémon are found across all five Hisui areas: Obsidian Fieldlands, Crimson Mirelands, Cobalt Coastlands, Coronet Highlands, and Alabaster Icelands. The lists below identify the guaranteed Alpha species in each area; they are not coordinates, and they do not include every possible Alpha, because additional wild Pokémon can spawn as random Alphas.
How to use the Alpha location lists
Use the regional checklist to see which guaranteed Alpha species are in each area, then use the linked maps to find their pins. The species lists do not establish exact coordinates or routes, so this guide does not infer them. [Serebii’s Alpha Pokémon database] also links to interactive maps; Nintendo Life’s regional maps and checklists provide another way to locate markers.

Guaranteed encounters versus random Alphas
The checklists cover guaranteed Alpha encounters, not every species that can become an Alpha. Serebii reports that after the Noble Pokémon in an area has been defeated, ordinary spawning Pokémon can also appear as Alphas. Its database gives a 0.2%–2% chance per spawning Pokémon, varying by species, location, and time of day; this is Serebii’s stated game-mechanics range, not a separately published study statistic. - Action meets RPG in this new take on the Pokémon series
- Study Pokémon behaviors, sneak up on them, and toss a well-aimed Poké Ball to catch them

Serebii also says the listed guaranteed Alpha encounters respawn when you return to the area after catching or defeating them. A fixed-location checklist is therefore useful for revisiting those encounters, while random Alphas can add other species beyond the list.

Alphas are larger than ordinary Pokémon, have glowing red eyes, and pursue and attack the player when noticed, according to The Pokémon Company’s gameplay guide. Defeating one may yield rare items; catching one gives you a potential ally.
Rank #2
- This game comes in UK packaging, but it is region-free and compatible with all Nintendo Switch consoles worldwide.
The official guide says weakening a wild Pokémon makes it easier to catch, and describes aiming and throwing Poké Balls. It does not establish an exact catch rate or a guaranteed capture method for Alphas. It also notes that time of day and weather can affect Pokémon behavior or availability; that general condition does not mean a particular guaranteed Alpha on these lists requires specific weather.
