What are VIP Bots in ASTRO BOT?
VIP Bots, also called Special Bots, are collectible characters modeled on figures from PlayStation games and history. PlayStation describes ASTRO BOT as a single-player 3D action platformer and says its crew contains 300 bots, with more than 150 cameo characters. PlayStation’s update says, “There are over 150 to collect, each with their own funny animations relating to the game they originally came from.”
ASTRO BOT is a standalone PS5 game, separate from Astro’s Playroom. Some Special Bots also have a transfer path: PlayStation says four can be unlocked in Astro’s Playroom and brought into ASTRO BOT’s starting crew.

- Open the all-Special-Bots guide and find the bot you want to rescue.
- Check the listed level or location, keeping the guide’s bot name distinct from the familiar character or franchise it represents.
- After rescuing it, check your in-game collection and return to the guide for any entries you have not found.
