Which names are full maps, and which are areas?
Janus Towers Plaza, Vandorn Farm, Blackwater Lake, Ashwood, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, and The Fog are named locations within Ashes of the Damned. They should not be counted as seven separate main Round-Based maps. Vandorn Farm also served as the first Survival experience, playable in the beta for a limited time, according to Treyarch’s launch-era Survival announcement.
How the Zombies formats differ
- Round-Based: The main map format. Standard and Directed are ways to play these maps, rather than separate maps themselves.
- Survival: An endurance experience confined to a smaller section of a larger setting. Treyarch said the launch Survival format did not include the main-map quest.
- Cursed: A more difficult way to play, with difficulty added through Relics; it is a mode, not another map name.
- Dead Ops Arcade 4: A distinct twin-stick shooter. Call of Duty’s official recap describes play for up to four people, with over 20 unique arenas and 80 levels. Those figures describe Dead Ops’ arenas and levels, not the number of Black Ops 7 Zombies maps.
Are more Black Ops 7 Zombies maps coming?
The latest located official update, Season 06, was published September 8, 2026, and launched September 17. It calls Rex Infernus the final Round-Based Zombies map for Black Ops 7. No additional unnamed Round-Based map is confirmed in that update or the current official map listing, so it would be misleading to list one as announced.

Treyarch’s September 2025 launch planning said more Round-Based and Survival maps were planned across post-launch seasons. That was an early plan, not a current roadmap; the later Season 06 update is the relevant official statement on the final Round-Based map. Season 06 also mentions Rogue Run playlists for Paradox Junction and Kowakujō, but that wording identifies Rogue Run playlist content—not additional Round-Based maps. It explicitly labels Tenshu as Survival.

Treyarch Design Director Kevin Drew described the premise to Xbox Wire Editor Mike Nelson this way: “In Black Ops 7 Zombies you’re now trapped in this other dimension trying to escape.” The same Xbox Wire interview notes that the story has deeper layers for longtime fans.
