Black Ops 7 has four weapon-camo tracks at Season 01: Co-op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone. Every weapon starts with nine sequential Military Camos, then has three weapon-specific Special Camo Challenges. Each mode also has four Mastery Camos. The challenge activity changes by mode and, for several classes, by weapon type, so a single “get headshots” checklist is not accurate.
Use the tracker below one weapon at a time. Mark each Military challenge in order, record all three Special challenges exactly as written on the weapon page, and then track the four Mastery tiers for every mode in which that weapon can progress. Keep a season and update date beside each row because new weapons and live challenge changes can alter the checklist.

How the Black Ops 7 camo system works
Activision Support describes a three-stage progression. “Your Weapon Camo progression begins by unlocking nine Military Camos.” Those nine unlock individually and sequentially for each weapon; progress on one weapon does not complete the same camo on another.
- Military Camos: nine challenges for every weapon. The activity is generally determined by the mode, with class exceptions.
- Special Camos: three challenges written for that specific weapon. They become relevant after the Military progression and are not interchangeable with another weapon’s objectives.
- Mastery Camos: four tiers attached to each game mode. Co-op Campaign is included as a Mastery track in this series context, alongside Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone.
If you are tracking one weapon through all four modes, your sheet can contain nine Military boxes, three Special boxes and four Mastery boxes for each mode. Do not assume that a camo name, objective or prerequisite is shared across classes or seasons; copy the wording shown for the weapon you are working on.

All four Black Ops 7 camo modes at Season 01
| Mode | Military activity for most classes | Mastery track | What to record |
|---|---|---|---|
| Co-op Campaign | Critical kills | Four Co-op Campaign Mastery Camos | Critical-kill progress, class exceptions, three Special challenges and four Mastery boxes |
| Multiplayer | Headshots | Four Multiplayer Mastery Camos | Headshot progress, class exceptions, three Special challenges and four Mastery boxes |
| Zombies | Critical kills | Four Zombies Mastery Camos | Critical-kill progress, class exceptions, three Special challenges and four Mastery boxes |
| Warzone | Eliminations | Four Warzone Mastery Camos | Elimination progress, weapon availability, three Special challenges and four Mastery boxes |
The table describes the general Military objective. Shotguns, sniper rifles, launchers and melee weapons use different wording in specified modes, so check the class table before assuming that a match or mission is contributing to the expected counter.
The nine Military Camos: your first checklist
Military Camos are the foundation of every weapon row. Activision’s wording establishes two important rules: there are nine per weapon, and they unlock one after another. A later Military box should remain unchecked until the preceding requirement is complete.
General Military objectives by mode
- Co-op Campaign: critical kills for most weapons.
- Multiplayer: headshots for most weapons.
- Zombies: critical kills for most weapons.
- Warzone: eliminations for most weapons.
“Critical kill,” “headshot” and “elimination” are not interchangeable labels in your tracker. Write the exact mode beside every counter so that progress earned in one activity is not mistaken for progress in another.
Class exceptions you must enter separately
| Weapon class | Co-op Campaign | Multiplayer | Zombies | Warzone |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shotguns | Point-blank kills | Point-blank kills | Point-blank kills | Use the current weapon-page wording; the documented class exception does not replace the general Warzone elimination rule |
| Sniper rifles | Use the general Campaign critical-kill wording unless the current weapon page states otherwise | One-shot kills | Use the general Zombies critical-kill wording unless the current weapon page states otherwise | Use the current weapon-page wording |
| Launchers | Kills or Guild Equipment/VTOL destructions | Kills or scorestreak destructions | Eliminations | Use the current weapon-page wording |
| Melee weapons | Eliminations | Kills | Eliminations | Use the current weapon-page wording |
The official class exceptions are mode-specific. For example, the launcher requirement in Multiplayer is not the same as the launcher requirement in Co-op Campaign, and a melee elimination in Zombies is not described as a Multiplayer kill. If a weapon page supplies more precise wording, that page controls your row.
Special Camos: three challenges for each weapon
After the Military stage, each weapon has three Special Camo Challenges. Activision Support states that these challenges unlock the Special Camo for that weapon. They are weapon-specific, so do not create a universal Special-Camo checklist based on another gun.
How to record Special challenges
- Create three separate cells labelled Special 1, Special 2 and Special 3.
- Copy each challenge’s complete wording from the in-game or official weapon page, including its mode and any condition.
- Record the weapon name and class in the same row; this prevents a similarly named challenge from being assigned to the wrong gun.
- Leave the box unchecked until the game confirms completion. A Military completion does not automatically mark a Special challenge complete.
Special challenges can be displayed alongside Military progress on an official weapon page. The EGRT-17 page, for example, shows a weapon-level checklist that includes Molten Gold and checks for Multiplayer and Zombies Military Camos. That layout is a model for organizing your own row, not evidence that every weapon uses identical Special wording. The Gremlin page uses the same checklist pattern for a later-season weapon.
Mastery Camos and how to unlock BO7 mastery camos
Black Ops 7 organizes Mastery Camos by mode: Co-op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone each have four Mastery Camos. Co-op Campaign’s inclusion as a Mastery track is a notable change in this series context.

| Mastery track | Number of tiers per mode | Tracker label | Prerequisite information to capture |
|---|---|---|---|
| Co-op Campaign | Four | Campaign Mastery 1–4 | The current weapon page’s requirement and any class-specific condition |
| Multiplayer | Four | Multiplayer Mastery 1–4 | The current weapon page’s requirement and any class-specific condition |
| Zombies | Four | Zombies Mastery 1–4 | The current weapon page’s requirement and any class-specific condition |
| Warzone | Four | Warzone Mastery 1–4 | The current weapon page’s requirement and any class-specific condition |
The official support material establishes the count and mode structure, but a weapon page is the place to verify the exact objective text and any prerequisite shown for a particular tier. Keep Military, Special and Mastery columns distinct: completing a Military box is not the same event as completing a Mastery tier.
Black Ops 7 camo tracker template
Use one row per weapon. A wide spreadsheet works best because every row needs the weapon identity, mode, nine Military checks, three Special checks, four Mastery checks and status information.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Exact in-game weapon name |
| Class | Assault rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle, launcher, melee or the class shown in game |
| Mode | Co-op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies or Warzone |
| Military 1–9 | One checkbox for each sequential Military challenge |
| Special 1–3 | One checkbox for each weapon-specific Special challenge, with full wording in notes |
| Mastery 1–4 | Four boxes for the selected mode |
| Weapon Prestige | Record the weapon’s Prestige state or requirement when the current page displays one |
| Seasonal status | Launch weapon, seasonal weapon, or the season in which the row was added |
| Source/update date | The date you last checked the in-game or official weapon page |
Printable row example
| Weapon | Mode | Military | Special | Mastery | Season/status | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enter weapon name | Choose one mode | ☐1 ☐2 ☐3 ☐4 ☐5 ☐6 ☐7 ☐8 ☐9 | ☐1 ☐2 ☐3 | ☐1 ☐2 ☐3 ☐4 | Launch or seasonal; record season | YYYY-MM-DD |
For a complete account-wide tracker, duplicate the row for each mode rather than placing four modes in one ambiguous cell. This makes it clear whether a check belongs to Multiplayer headshots, Zombies critical kills, Campaign critical kills or Warzone eliminations.
Black Ops 7 Multiplayer camos
For most weapon classes, Multiplayer Military Camos use headshots. The exceptions documented by Activision are point-blank kills for shotguns, one-shot kills for sniper rifles, kills or scorestreak destructions for launchers, and kills for melee weapons.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsMultiplayer checklist workflow
- Filter your tracker to the exact weapon and Multiplayer row.
- Confirm the weapon class before starting; this determines whether you need headshots, point-blank kills, one-shot kills, launcher destruction objectives or melee kills.
- Complete Military 1 through Military 9 in order and mark each box only when its counter is complete.
- Enter all three Special challenges from the weapon page and track them independently.
- Use the four Multiplayer Mastery columns for the final mode-specific progression.
A headshot counter that never moves is a diagnostic signal: first check whether the weapon is a shotgun, sniper rifle, launcher or melee weapon. The class exception, not the general headshot rule, may be the objective you need.
Black Ops 7 Zombies camos
Most Zombies Military Camos use critical kills. Shotguns instead use point-blank kills, launchers use eliminations and melee weapons use eliminations. The Zombies row still contains nine Military boxes, three Special boxes and four Zombies Mastery boxes.
Zombies tracking checklist
- Choose the Zombies row, not the Campaign row; both can use critical-kill language for many classes.
- Check whether the weapon is a shotgun, launcher or melee weapon before recording the objective.
- Keep the nine Military counters in sequence.
- Copy Special challenge text exactly, because the three challenges belong to the individual weapon.
- Mark the four Zombies Mastery tiers separately from Military and Special completion.
When a launcher or melee counter is moving on eliminations while a critical-kill column remains at zero, that behavior may be correct for the class. Your tracker should preserve the game’s wording rather than forcing every weapon into a critical-kill category.

Campaign camo challenges in Co-op Campaign
Co-op Campaign uses critical kills for most Military progress. Shotguns use point-blank kills; launchers use kills or Guild Equipment/VTOL destructions; melee weapons use eliminations. Co-op Campaign also has its own four-camo Mastery track.
Campaign row setup
- Label the mode Co-op Campaign so it cannot be confused with a generic campaign note.
- Write the class-specific Military wording beside the weapon before beginning.
- Track Guild Equipment or VTOL destructions as launcher progress when that is the displayed objective.
- Keep Campaign Special challenges in the same weapon row but separate from the nine Military boxes.
- Reserve four boxes for Co-op Campaign Mastery Camos.
The inclusion of Campaign Mastery means a four-mode tracker is necessary if your goal is a complete weapon record. A Multiplayer-only sheet cannot represent every available Mastery track.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Warzone camo challenges
For most weapons, Warzone Military progress is based on eliminations. The official summary identifies Warzone as a separate camo mode at Season 01 and gives it four Mastery Camos per mode.
Warzone tracking checklist
- Use a dedicated Warzone row and record the current weapon availability.
- Mark eliminations against the nine Military boxes in order.
- Copy all three weapon-specific Special challenges rather than borrowing objectives from Multiplayer or Zombies.
- Keep four Warzone Mastery boxes separate from Military and Special progress.
- Recheck the weapon page after seasonal changes, especially for weapons added after launch.
The class-exception summary does not provide replacement Warzone wording for shotguns, sniper rifles, launchers or melee weapons. If the current Warzone weapon page specifies a different objective, use that wording and date the update; otherwise, retain the general Warzone elimination category in your tracker.
Seasonal weapons, launch status and updates
Seasonal weapons need their own rows. Do not append a new weapon to a launch-era checklist and assume that its Special or Mastery wording matches an older gun. Add the season, weapon class, mode availability and the date you verified the official page.

What the official weapon-page pattern shows
The EGRT-17 weapon page demonstrates a weapon-level checklist that includes Molten Gold and checks for Multiplayer and Zombies Military Camos. The Gremlin page shows the same style for a later-season weapon. These pages illustrate why a row should combine weapon identity, mode, Military checks, Special checks and Mastery checks instead of relying on a single global progress bar.
Update routine
- Open the current official page for the weapon or inspect its in-game camo menu.
- Confirm whether the weapon is launch or seasonal content.
- Compare each Military objective with your saved row, paying special attention to class exceptions.
- Verify the three Special challenge descriptions and all four Mastery entries for each available mode.
- Record the date and season of the check.
- If the wording or availability changed, preserve the old completion record but add a note explaining which objective is current.
A dated row prevents an old screenshot or spreadsheet from being mistaken for a current Season 01 checklist. New weapons and live challenge changes are the reasons to keep the source/update field visible.
How to use the tracker from a blank sheet
- List every weapon: create one row per weapon, including seasonal additions.
- Assign the class: class determines whether a documented exception applies.
- Duplicate by mode: create separate rows or clearly separated blocks for Co-op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone.
- Add nine Military cells: number them 1 through 9 and keep them sequential.
- Add three Special cells: paste the weapon-specific challenge wording into notes.
- Add four Mastery cells: label them for the selected mode, not simply “Mastery.”
- Record status: include Weapon Prestige information when displayed, plus launch or seasonal status.
- Date every verification: update the row whenever you consult the current official weapon page or in-game menu.
Troubleshooting a camo counter that is not progressing
The activity is correct but the box stays at zero
Check the mode first. A Zombies critical kill and a Co-op Campaign critical kill belong to different rows even though the words are similar. Then check the weapon class for a point-blank, one-shot, launcher or melee exception.
A later Military camo appears locked
Military Camos unlock sequentially. Confirm that every earlier box is complete for that weapon and mode before treating the later requirement as a bug.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →A launcher objective is unclear
Use the mode-specific wording: Multiplayer can require kills or scorestreak destructions; Zombies uses eliminations; Co-op Campaign can require kills or Guild Equipment/VTOL destructions. Record which variant the page displays.
A seasonal weapon is missing from the sheet
Create a new row instead of copying an older weapon’s challenge text. Add the season and a fresh source/update date, then verify the official weapon page.
Mastery progress is being mixed with Special progress
Keep three Special boxes and four mode-specific Mastery boxes in separate columns. The counts are different, and the challenges serve different stages of the progression.
What a complete Black Ops 7 camo tracker should contain
- All four Season 01 modes: Co-op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone.
- Nine sequential Military boxes for every weapon.
- Mode- and class-correct Military wording.
- Three weapon-specific Special challenge boxes.
- Four Mastery boxes for each mode.
- Weapon class, availability and seasonal status.
- Weapon Prestige information where the current page provides it.
- A source or update date on every row.
That structure is the reliable way to track all camos in Black Ops 7 without collapsing different modes or classes into one misleading checklist. Use the official weapon page for exact Special and Mastery wording, and refresh seasonal rows whenever the live game changes.
