For Evil Chester’s six-question Nightmare Mode quiz in the older itch.io version of That’s Not My Neighbor, enter these answers in order: Fawkes, MMMDCCCLXXXVIII, Wojtek, Zul’Gurub, SCP-038, and 45360. The Steam/remastered version uses a different Chester quiz, so check which version you’re playing before entering them.
Nightmare Mode answers, in order
- Fawkes — The last name of the man behind the mask most familiar to internet users; the clue refers to Guy Fawkes.
- MMMDCCCLXXXVIII — The largest number written under conventional Roman numeral rules. Enter the Roman numeral letters.
- Wojtek — The hairiest lieutenant of World War II.
- Zul’Gurub — The temple named in the clue about a god and a pandemic in the dark beyond. Keep the spelling and apostrophe shown here.
- SCP-038 — The “clave name” of the multicellular organism that clones things touching its rhizome. Include the hyphen.
- 45360 — The number of arrangements formed from the digits of the power-set cardinality for the first perfect and happy number. Enter digits only.
Check the game version before using this list
This six-answer sequence is for Evil Chester’s Nightmare Mode quiz in the older itch.io version. It is not the answer key for the Steam/remastered version: that version has five different Chester questions and answers. Match the list to the version and mode shown in your game rather than relying on the character name alone.

What happens during the quiz
A community-maintained wiki describes the quiz as a special encounter: an incorrect answer ends the current encounter, and Chester may appear again in a later playthrough. Completing the sequence is reported to award a badge and the mode’s achievement. These are community-reported mechanics, not a developer-published answer key, and mechanics may vary by build.

- WHAT IS THIS? I Hate My Friends is the party game where roasting your friends isn’t just allowed, it’s the whole point. Just write a friend’s name on the Setup card, let everyone submit their funniest Response card, and watch the chaos unfold as the judge picks the best roast. This hilarious party game for adults turns your inside jokes into brutal (but loving) burns.
- HOW TO PLAY The judge draws a Setup card and writes a friend’s name (or their own!) in the name spot. For example: “Have you noticed that Olivia always smells like ___?” Everyone else picks the best Response card from the 5 in their hand and places it face down in the middle. The judge reads them out loud and picks the best roast. Winner keeps the Setup card!
- WHEN TO PLAY Perfect for hangoutd, parties, Friendsgiving, game nights, birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and girls’ trips.
- WHAT’S IN THE BOX? 100 dry-erase Setup cards, 300 Response cards, and 1 marker. Friends not included.
- WHO SHOULD PLAY? 3+ players, ages 17+.
Rank #2
- A BOLD NEW GAME FROM WE'RE NOT REALLY STRANGERS — with 150 ‘would you rather’ questions that you didn't know you needed to ask. Reveal sides of your friends, your partner, and yourself that you've never seen before.
- THREE CATEGORIES - Use the spinner to let fate decide which deck you pull a card from. Land on LIFE for the big questions, LOVE for relationship dilemmas, or for the answers nobody saw coming. With each conversation starter card, the conversations are guaranteed to go places you didn't expect.
- NO EASY ANSWERS - These questions might feel impossible to answer, and that is by design. Watching other players struggle to choose is half the fun, and the other half is learning more about them, whether you use it as a conversation card couple activity or with a whole group, based on their answers.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE - Don't overthink it. Your first instinct is the most honest one. This game works best when you stop second-guessing and start saying how you really feel for a fun party game or a relationship card game.
- WHAT’S INSIDE - 150 unique ‘would you rather’ question cards divided into three categories, and 1 spinner.

If an answer is rejected
- Confirm that you are playing the older itch.io Nightmare Mode version, not the Steam/remastered version.
- Check that you entered the answers in the listed order, with the apostrophe in Zul’Gurub and the hyphen in SCP-038.
- Read the prompt shown in your build and follow its displayed spelling. Guides reproduce the sequence consistently, but accepted punctuation may depend on the build.
