In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, SHADOW Briefings appeared at set possible spawn points, but only some were active in a given match. Use the landmark list below as a search guide for that season—not as a verified map for Fortnite’s live game in October 2026. Guides published in August 2025 disagree on whether there were 24 or 25 possible points.
Where to look for SHADOW Briefings
The locations below are landmark-level directions from Destructoid’s August 13, 2025 guide. They identify areas to search, not exact coordinates; the list includes the guide’s report of two points east of Supernova Academy.

- West, slightly south, north, and northeast of Resistance Base.
- North of Shiny Shafts and at Shiny Shafts.
- Near the northern end of The Hive.
- Near the west end of Supernova Academy; north of the Academy near the island’s northern edge; west of First Order Base; and east of Supernova Academy, where the guide reports two points.
- Near the south end of Swarmy Stash; at O.X.R. HQ; near the north end of Shining Span; at Utopia City; near the south end of Kappa Kappa Factory; south of Outpost Enclave; at Demon’s Debris; near the south end of Canyon Crossing; at Shogun’s Solitude; southwest of Outlaw Oasis; south of Outlaw Oasis; north of Ranger’s Ruin; and on the bridge overlooking Foxy Floodgate.
GameXplore’s August 21, 2025 guide also names closer landmarks, including beside the eastern paddy at Placid Paddies, under a beach house at Yacht Stop, and on the northern side of The Hive. Its list is not identical to Destructoid’s, so treat it as a separate route reference rather than merging both lists into one confirmed map.
Why the reported location count differs
Destructoid reported 25 possible briefings, while its list has 24 bullets; its east-of-Supernova Academy bullet says there are two points, which may account for the total. GameXplore reported 24 marked points and listed 24 rows. The published guides do not establish whether the difference comes only from counting that pair or from different location lists, so neither total should be treated as settled.

How to find an active terminal
The August 2025 guides describe fixed possible spawn points, with only some active in each match. Insider Gaming says a white laptop appeared on the map as players approached a spawn; GamesRadar also describes looking for the briefing marker. An empty location does not mean the point is wrong—it may simply be inactive for that match.
- Choose a cluster of possible points. Insider Gaming recommended starting south of Burd To Go in the northwest, at Resistance Base in the northeast, or at O.X.R. HQ in the mid-west. These are suggested starting areas, not guaranteed spawns.
- As you approach, check the map or screen for the nearby white laptop/briefing marker.
- If you find a terminal, approach it and use the on-screen interaction prompt to accept the mission.
- If the spot is empty, search another listed area or try again in a different match.
Because these are landmark directions rather than coordinates, use the game’s marker and nearby terrain to confirm the exact spot. The August 2025 guides provide no guarantee that a particular terminal will appear in every match.

What accepting a briefing does
GamesRadar described three briefing types in the season: Armory challenges involving a specified weapon type, Plunder missions to dig up two buried rare chests, and Supply Drop missions to secure a drop. Accepting a mission starts its assigned objective; the task depends on which briefing you select.
Did the weekly quest require completing the mission?
No. For the specific weekly objective covered by Insider Gaming on August 13, 2025, players needed to find and accept a briefing three times. Completing the briefing’s assigned challenge was not necessary for that objective. This was the requirement for that cited quest, not a universal rule for every Fortnite quest.

Season and availability note
Epic Games Japan announced Chapter 6 Season 4, titled Shock ‘N Awesome, as beginning August 7, 2025, U.S. time. The location and quest guides cited here were published in August 2025. They do not establish whether these terminals or the weekly objective remain available in Fortnite as of October 2026, so check the live game for current availability.
