For Eyes in the Sky, install the three LiDAR Scanners at the Control Tower roof on Dam Battlegrounds, the Communications Tower’s upper platform on Spaceport, and the upper walkway by the Galleria sign in Buried City. You install each scanner by interacting with its tripod; you do not need to bring a physical scanner item.
Where are the three LiDAR Scanner installations?
| Map | Landmark | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Dam Battlegrounds | Control Tower | On the roof, at its east corner. |
| Spaceport | Communications Tower | On the upper platform on the eastern side of the map. |
| Buried City | Galleria | On the upper walkway near the top of the Galleria sign, above the ordinary roof area. |
These locations are consistent across three third-party walkthroughs. Their access directions are less consistent for the Control Tower, so use the roof and east-corner tripod as your destination rather than relying on a single exact route.
How to reach each tripod
Dam Battlegrounds: Control Tower roof
Head for the Control Tower and work your way to the roof. A guide published August 8, 2026, describes approaching from the south: climb the exterior stairs to the main-floor level, follow the exterior hallway through a door, breach into the liftshaft, then use the upward zipline and breach the roof access door. The guide warns that turrets may be above the shaft and that players may be trapped or waiting near the zipline; these are possible hazards, not guaranteed encounters. TheGamer’s Eyes in the Sky walkthrough
Other walkthroughs describe the entry differently, mentioning a blocked upper-right exterior doorway, a barricade, ropes or stairs, or an entrance near the Red Lakes elevator with a breachable door and a zipline inside the elevator shaft. The descriptions do not establish one dependable current-build route. Once on the roof, look at the east corner for the tripod. GamesRadar’s guide and IGN’s Eyes in the Sky guide

Spaceport: Communications Tower
Go to the Communications Tower on Spaceport’s eastern side. Climb to its upper platform and follow the walkway to the tripod. One recent guide identifies a yellow ladder; other walkthroughs describe the climb differently, so the reliable landmark is the tower’s upper platform. TheGamer’s Eyes in the Sky walkthrough
Buried City: Galleria sign walkway
Reach the Galleria roof, then use an in-game Zipline to get to the high walkway near the top of the Galleria sign. The tripod is on that upper walkway, not simply on the regular roof. Aim the Zipline high enough to reach the sign walkway; if you place it too low, it may not connect to the objective. Bring an extra Zipline if you have one available. Quest completion: scanners, order, and raids
- Bring no physical scanner: Interacting with each quest tripod supplies the installation. The recent walkthrough distinguishes this objective from quests that require physical scanner pickups, such as A Lay of the Land.
- Choose any order: The recent walkthrough says the three installations can be completed in any order.
- Split the objectives across raids: According to that walkthrough, each installation registers when completed, so you do not need to extract after every placement to preserve it.
These quest-mechanic details come from a third-party walkthrough rather than an official game source. The newest guide consulted does not identify the game build it covers, so route details—especially at the Control Tower—may change.
